Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the SeaSucker weBoost Mount

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the SeaSucker weBoost Mount and it's a vacuum mount in black. So folks, with this portable mount, it's gonna let you attach your weBoost antenna to your vehicle without drilling. It does come with pre-drilled holes here to match the weBoost drive reach overland antenna's hole pole pattern, and it's gonna use weBoost standard hardware, which is sold separately to attach it. It does have two 4 1/2 wide diameter pump action vacuum cut mounts, and they will mount to most non-porous surfaces. You get two hard plastic covers here to cover these.

You wanna keep them clean and free of debris and that kind of stuff. Make sure they're not getting nicked or scarred or anything like that. Now it does attach pretty simple, like I said, to non-porous surfaces like this, maybe metal, glass, fiberglass, anything like that. You simply pump up until all the orange on the indicator disappears. Once all that orange is gone, that signifies that it's vacuumed out all the air from underneath the suction cup or the vacuum mount.

There we go, so like you just saw, sometimes you gotta move it around. Technically you're supposed to moisten up the cups, that says that on them, but just for demo purposes here today just had the flat surface. But anyways, once you get that mounted, it's a very strong hold. It's 120 pounds per suction cup. So that gives you a whole total of 240 pounds of pull force when you're using both of these.

Now I will also mention that if you're using these daily, you wanna check and make sure you're pumping these up, make sure there's no orange showing. Let's say you pumped it up and you came back tomorrow, there's just a little line of orange. Pump it up a few times to make sure you get all that air out to keep it secure. To undo them, there's a tab here in here, they're rubber tabs. You simply push in and pull up gently on them and that'll pop them right back off.

Again, folks, they are black in color, made here in the US. This is the SeaSucker weBoost Mount and it's a vacuum mount in black. I'm Steven, thanks for watching, have a great day.

Does not work . Constant pumping needs to be done in order to keep stuck on. It’s not reliable enough .

That is definitely odd. SeaSucker is known for being reliable. You shouldnt have to be adjusting it so often as you described. Let me reach out to SeaSucker and see what I can find out for you. 9.10.24 SeaSucker got back to me and had some things for you to try for troubleshooting. Make sure that the mounting surface is non porous and clean. Check the vacuum pad to ensure there is no debris or residue that could be affecting the seal. Also, check for any deformities on the pad itself. To check the pump, place a finger over the hole on the underside of the vacuum pad, then push the plunger in. If the plunger stays down, then it is a problem with the pad or surface. If the plunger begins to come back out of the housing (while still holding their finger over the hole), then the plunger needs to be replaced. Let me know what your findings are from this and we can go from there!

This works wee supporting the WeBoost on an RV outside wall. I have to pump it up every 3 days or so.
