This add-on piece extends the length of your Rola Vortex Carrier by 18-3/4". Black powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant.I recently installed a Rola basket, with the extension, on my XC Volvo. Simple installation took less than twenty minutes without tools. Very sturdy. Low profile. Very low noise even at relatively high speeds. Reminds me of the old ladder rack Volvo used to sell through it's plant in Sweden. I can pile anything in, bikes, skis, luggage, and not worry about scratching the roof of the vehicle. The decals are crooked/not centered. The male and female parts on one side of the extension do not fit flush, but just barely. Don't know/think that will depreciate ability to manage payloads. While shopping for a basket, I could find no photos of a Rola on a XC Volvo, and was pleasantly surprised by what is virtually a glove fit. Well done, Rola. I strongly recommend this basket.
I purchased the Rola Roof Mounted Cargo Basket and Extension based on suggestions from etrailer. The Rack is for a 2015 Subaru Outback, it was easy to assemble and install on the vehicle. Since purchasing about a year ago, my family and I have loaded this thing up. Using it for about six camping trips a season and the annual cross country ski/snowboard trip. I highly recommend this equipment.
Got the Rola Rack & Extension
Was delivered only in 4 days,
and i just installed my rack which i purchased on etrailer Im very satisfied with the rack beside the little minors like the extension were you connect them w/c has a little gap and also little bubbles with the powder coat finish...
Other than that unit fits my 2007 Chevy Tahoe Truck just right and Im happy with this product,just like the massive material used and design is just right ...
together with couple of more inches long with the ext..

Junk. Started rusting on day 1. If this is “powder coat”, it must be baby powder or something. Was missing the rubber sleeves that cover the joints and it was like pulling teeth to get them from the manufacturer. I’m pretty disappointed overall with the product and Rola. etrailer however is great to deal with.
The extension I would highly recommend if you're roof is big enough. I put it on my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee and when you put the extension on, It fits perfectly on top of the roof! Very sturdy and beefy frame and Looks great!
This rack is the best! I got 1 on my '15 Tacoma.
I just got another one for my '07 4runner with 59505 extension and I relly happy,it fits so perfect! If you need more cargo space,give your suv a nice look and increase your cargo room,

The exstention was a must buy when buying the rack. The exstention add that extra foot or so and made the rack fit the body of my Tahoe better.the only complaint is the rubber sleeves, not easy to work on.
When I got this rack I have also ordered the extension to make it longer. I saw based on reviews people complained about water getting inside the tubes and causing rust water so in advance to keep this from happening I went and bought marine boat silicone and I pasted up all the connections and all the screws it was quite messy at first but smoothed it all out as much as I could ended up the best thing I did to it. Survived the winter and endless storms and never had any rust water spill on my suv. In face the sealant job was done so well it's still there. I Also added lock nut washers on top of the mounting twist handles so I could ensure that it would not come loose. I have hualed endless things on it and was superhandful many times. One thing I do like is that it has a good dept around it so if u wanted u could just drop cooler on it or boxes and have that extra safe keeping knowing it won't roll over tip out. I keep a set of tie down straps in my suv for whenever I needed it. Great product didn't have to spend thousands on the so called better brands.

Sales and service excellent. Fast shipping. This is my second Rola Roof Rack from etailer.com and they have been quality products. The rack is easy to assemble and looks good on my Jeep Cherokee. Although my first Rola is 5 years old and has a few signs of rust where it is put together, the new rack has rubber sleeves to install that will hopefully eliminate that issue. Very satisfied with purchase.

Great customer service, actually talked to a live person, Nicole T. , thank you. One of the products that I had order, did not get processed or shipped for whatever reason. When I contacted etrailer over the phone I talked to Nicole, very pleasant and helpful. She did some research on my order, had me take a picture of the products I did receive then I just emailed the pictures directly to her email, and Nicole got back to me thru email and the missing item was processed and shipped out with no further problems. I ordered two of these in order to create a much longer roof rack for my 2103 Sequoia. It has been attached to the roof of my truck for the past year. It has been across the country and back four times during this time period. And it has survived the worst winter our Montana region has seen in years. It's a great value for the money; no squeaking, no signs of rust, still solid. Highly recommended.

Well built, sturdy, easy to assemble and looks really good. As you can see from the photos I purchased the extension and glad I did. I have to give it a 5 star rating because everything was as advertised
and shipped promptly.
Worked out good. Should have come with more rubber sleeves to seal the joints to keep moisture from entering the tubes.
