Hello neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a Replacement Locking Quick Release Skewer for your RockyMounts Rooftop bike racks. So folks, again, this is one, quantity one, replacement. It's gonna replace the locking quick release skewer, which is found on the RockyMounts TieRod, PitchFork, and Euro Pitchfork rooftop bike racks. It does come with two keys. It also works with the clutch and low ball truck bed racks.
This guy here can spin off more back on for length. It's very ergonomic with the quick release skewer. Again, that is lockable. So once we've got it up in the upright position here, you simply lock it and now we can't go back down or we can unlock it. I'll grab the other key to show you that both work, and then we can open it back up.
So very simple. It's got a built-in lock, as I just showed you with the two keys. It is chromoly wrap stainless steel construction with a UV resistant nylon handle there. As far as some dimensions, it's about 9-1/4", overall length, 1-1/4" wide here on the widest corner of the knob. Lifetime warranty.

Includes an installed lock core.I would highly recommend this product. It is of excellent quality and the service and delivery have been very good as well. Thank you etrailer. I would add that this skewer needs to be locked down tightly on your bike rack or it tends to jiggle loose and actually come off of the hitch.. But I have ordered another one and I'll do better at securing it before driving off.
Work great...when they work. Had to buy replacements after 3 months after originals seized up in unhinged position.
Part came quickly and was exactly what I needed but couldn't get elsewhere.

kudos to etrailer for having this, and other, replacement parts available. Not so good that I one is broken after two yrs use. Full disclosure: I use these year round in Northern New England, and winters with road salt and frigid cold can be rough on equipment.
Bought this to replace the broken old one on my bike rail. Worked perfectly and was easy to install. This replacement part is well designed and simple to used. Really keeps the bike secure.
Heavy duty, good fit.I wish they'd matched the jeys.

Love it! It makes mounting the bicycle so much quicker and easier. Delivery from etrailer was very fast and was free. Can't ask for mote.
Showed up quickly being used as a replacement on a rhino rack.
I've had this product for a year and it works great! Super easy to secure my bike in the bed of my truck.
Like the product but the skewer shaft itself needs to be beefed up. It has bent twice now while locking down the fork. Have had to replace.

Very happy with the racks after a years use. I make sure to remove the locking cores when not in use and have not had any seizing issues since. Just loaned my racks to a friend and was stoked at how easy they transferredreinstalled.
