Very simple to rebuild the arms. A few smacks with a rubber mallet knocked the old cylinder out. A little cleaning fluid sprayed in the tube, a quick swab the insert new cylinder. 538602

  • How To Free Stuck Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar Arms and What Parts Are Needed To Rebuild It
  • If you can provide me with exactly what tow bar you have I may have better information for you but I had saw you were looking at parts for the older Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar so I will assume that is what you have. In order to free the arms assuming it is just rust preventing them from sliding you will want to soak them in some dish soap for a few hours and then either use a strap wrench like for an oil filter to turn them back and forth or put a screwdriver in the swivel ears and try...

  • Difference Between the Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain RM-576 and Sterling RM-555 Tow Bar
  • The Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar part # RM-576 is just simply the newer, updated model of the discontinued Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar part RM-555. It sounds like you might be looking for replacement parts for one or the other so if that is the case, I would need the serial number off of your tow bar in order to confirm. I have however attached for you below a list of replacement parts but I would need your serial number in order to confirm these. Repair kit # RM-910003-30 Replacement...

  • Replacement Inner Arm and Bushing Kit for Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar
  • If the serial number on your Sterling tow bar is 2433 then replacement arm # RM910660 will not work because it is designed for models with serial numbers between 11841 and 27824. But if the number you have given is missing a digit then the arm will fit (since at the lowest the number would be 12433 if it was missing a digit). The serial number is located up near the shank where the two arms come together. I do recommend also replacing the bushings with # RM-910003-40 because if the arm...

  • Recommended Tow Bar to Replace Early Roadmaster Sterling Without Replacement Parts Available
  • I reached out to my tech contact at Roadmaster and unfortunately they no longer have any arms compatible with your old tow bar and said you will need to get another tow bar. The Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 8K # RM-576 has the higher capacity and comes with the integrated safety cables, but if you don't need that capacity then I recommend the Falcon 2 # RM-520 rated for 6,000 lbs and then use cables # RM-643.
