This is a very high quality fitting and goes on the towed vehicle or trailer (the tag says Car side). This is a male fitting that is open to air passage unlike the female that has a check valve. If you use it on the car side the compressor will run freely every time you apply the brakes when not towing a trailer/vehicle causing premature compressor failure. If you use the female on the trailer side and the male pops out during hard braking (this has happened to me once) the brakes wont release because of the female check valve and by the time you realize something is wrong and stop your rig, the tires could be blown or worse... I hope this long review helps some one down the road.

TOAD connection for Roadmaster Brakemaster.
Easy safe connection for air brake line.
The most difficult part is finding an out of the way location on the TOAD that still allows one to easily connect and/or disconnect the hose.

Not was the part EXCELLENT and exactly what we needed they shipped it to a campground we were headed to. We were on a trip across the country and did not want to go without brakes on the tow vehicle. Thanks to everyone for helping us out!

- Which Side of the Flat Tow Setup Does Female Air Connector Install On for BrakeMasterThe male side like the part # RM-921004-50 is designed for the vehicle side like you mentioned. The RV side is the part # RM-921004-60. I'd recommend switching your setup to the recommended way as it wasn't tested to be used backwards and like you said there would be air leaks most likely.
