Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a replacement passenger side tail light. This replaces the passenger side stop, turn and tail light for your Roadmaster tow dolly with electric brakes. Part number RM-2050-1. So it comes with a light. It comes with new hardware. The connection points for your wiring are located right here at the back of the housing.

It is Department of Transportation compliant. It has a nice red lens with black base. Internally, it features incandescent bulbs. They are included. The mounting points right here, your studs are separated on center by two inches. The main portion of the light measures 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches and the overall measurement from edge to edge is right around 6 inches.

We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power and turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. Now this unit is designed to ground through the mounting hardware so that's why one of the nuts has the star-shaped washer attached to the bottom of it. I'm just going to hook my ground wire to my post there, and then this one is my stop and turn light. So I'm going to take it and I'm just going to push it in to the socket here on the back. Now I'll do that same thing with my tail light wire.So you can see here, it sends out a nice bright, consistent signal. This is the tail light function of the light.

When we apply our brakes you can see how the signal output increases and it will do that same thing when we activate our turn signals. And that's going to do it for today's look at the replacement passenger side tail light.

Product exactly as described and arrived in a timely manner. However. I could not disconnect the wiring off the old one and connect the new one without a huge hassle and cutting the wire which would result in it being too short to reconnect. I ended up just using the side cover which was what was missing. I should have just bought the side lens and saved some money.

  • Drivers Side Brake Light Replacement for Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes
I checked with Roadmaster for you about a replacement lens, and there is not one available for that light, which means that you are going to need to replace the entire assembly. The correct part is the Replacement Driver's-Side Stop/Turn/Tail Light # RM-300220-40, which works with the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1 and RM-2000-1(Discontinued). Also, for future reference in case you ever need to replace the other light, the correct part is the Replacement Passenger's-Side...

  • Replacing Tail Light On Roadmaster Tow Dolly and Have White, Brown, Yellow and Black Wires
The black wire on Roadmaster tow dollies like the # RM-2050-1 will go to the electric trailer brakes. On some units they use a blue wire as well but it does not sound this way on yours. You do have the other wiring correct where white is for the ground, brown for the tail lights but yellow should be for the Drivers Side Tail Light # RM-300220-40 and green for the Passenger Side Tail Light # RM-300220-30. Do understand if you have an older trailer it may have been modified in which case...

  • Parts Needed To Use Electric Motorhome Brakes With Roadmaster Demco Dolly
The Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly w/ Disc Brakes - Tilt Bed Frame # DM9713093 just uses a 4-pole connector so in order to connect this to your 2007 American Coach American Revolution motorhome you'll just need a 7-way connector. Your motorhome should be equipped with one, however if you don't have anything you can add one with the Demco 4-Diode Universal Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit # DM9523010 and then the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.

  • Are Bulbs Included With Replacement Light Assemblies for Roadmaster Tow Dolly
Yes. When you purchase a light assembly like the # RM-300230-10 it does come with the bulb included. The only time you would not get the actual light is when you purchase a lens replacement. The other replacement lights available for the Roadmaster Tow Dolly RM-2000-1 are parts: Replacement Amber Light for Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - Qty 1 # RM-300220-20 Replacement Passenger's-Side Stop/Turn/Tail Light for Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-300220-30 Replacement Driver's-Side...

  • Can The Light Bulb Be Replaced In A Roadmaster Tow Dolly Tail Light
Hey Mark, I took the Replacement Passenger's-Side Stop/Turn/Tail Light for Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-300220-30 apart and found that it uses a 1157 bulb type. If you want to stick with incandescent you can use part # A1157B or you can upgrade to LED's with part # ARC93FR. LED's will provide a much brighter light while using considerably less energy. They're also more shock absorbent than incandescent bulbs so they're less likely to break while travelling over bumps in the road.
