Substitute for unavailable Item # RM-146-7. This product has NO 6-wire to 7-wire connector between vehicles and NO metal connector to the tow bar. Included wiring diagram shows connections to additional purchase 6-wire towed vehicle socket. Good length. Metal connector to tow bar will need to be purchased or made from scrap metal.

Comments
The six way connector that is included is separate so that you can match the wiring on your towed vehicle or trailer. It spends on the two bar, as some tow bars have a channel guard that the cord can fit through.

It was exactly what I wanted very fast. Already installed on the tow bar.

by:

Easy to wire the six pin with instructions & diagram included. Fits great and coiled portion will allow for extra length & flexibility.

by:

Excellent service

So 3 stars! Why? The small phillips head screw that needs to be removed in order to expose the socket that needs to be wired was in so tight that I stripped it trying to remove it. That had to be s a fluke. I complained to etrailer and they sent me a replacement 6-Pole, Round Pin connector. I wholeheartedly give etrailer 5 stars for customer service. They are awesome!

  • Length of Replacement 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled-to-Straight Cord
The Replacement 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled-to-Straight Cord for Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM-1676-7 measures a total of 8' long. When extra length is needed and it uncoils it won't cut the wiring. The electrical cord is designed to protect the wiring and isn't going to uncoil and somehow damage it.

  • Will 8 Foot 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled-to-Straight Cord Be Too Long for Tow Bar
The 8-foot long 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled-to-Straight Cord for Roadmaster Tow Bars # RM-1676-7 is partly coiled and partly straight, so it just depends on how much length there is from the receiver to where your tow bar mounts. You can measure it and see but it should be just fine. I have added links to a couple video reviews for you to check out as well of the 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled-to-Straight Cord for Roadmaster Tow Bars # RM-1676-7.

  • How Much Can You Cut Off of the LED Wires for the Roadmaster 7-wire to 6-wire Replacement Cord
There is not necessarily a pre set number of how much wire you should cut off when using the Replacement 7-Wire to 6-Wire Coiled-to-Straight Cord for Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM-1676-7R. You can cut the wire as short as needed so long as you leave enough wire on each end to fully seat in the butt connectors for a good strong attachment (you will want to give a pull at each side after crimping to ensure they are in the connector tightly). I went out to our warehouse to take a look...

  • How Does the Charge Line from a Motorhome to Towed Vehicle Work Together
The Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75 uses a 12 gauge wire and circuit breaker to route to the positive battery post in your motorhome and the number 4 pin in the included 7-way photo. The Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 uses a 14 gauge wire and circuit breaker to route to the positive battery post in your towed vehicle and the number 2 pin in the included 6-way photo. • Troubleshooting 7-Way to 6-Pole Wiring Adapter Operation
It sounds like you are using a 7-to-6-way coiled adapter cable like # RM-1676-7 between your Class C Jayco Melbourne's 7-way and the 6-pole on your towed vehicle. Some trailer wiring testers that use LEDs may not always work correctly. If you have a probe tester like # PTW2992 I suggest you re-test the 7-way contacts one at a time. You can refer to the linked photo to see which pin to test for each function. The photo shows the usual RV circuit configuration but there are multiple ways...

  • Tow Bar Wiring/Lighting Kit for 2001 Dodge Dakota with Charge Line for Battery
The tow bar lighting solution you would want for your 2001 Dodge Dakota would be the Roadmaster diode kit part # RM-152-98146-7 which will give you the lighting functions for the truck as well as carries an extra circuit you can use for charging the Dakota battery. Then to complete the charge line to your Dakota battery you'd want the part # RM-156-25 as well and you'd be set.

  • Using Hopkins Tow Bar Wiring on 2011 Jeep Wrangler That Needs Charge Wire From RV
You can use the Hopkins tow bar light kit part # HM56200 on your 2011 Jeep Wrangler as it's a confirmed fit, but the 4-way ends of this and the # A10-6034VP don't match as they are both male 4-ways. So what you could do is cut off the 4-way of either side and install the # HM48190 in place of it and you'd be able to make the connectors as needed. For a coiled extension to adapt the 7-way or your RV to the 6-way of the adapter you'd then want the # RM-1676-7 which will carry the charge...
