  I went in the warehouse and measured the U-bolt from Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Crossbar Fit Kit , part # RUBK-MF. The width from center to center of the U-bolt is 2-5/8 inches. The height of the U-bolt is 3-5/32 inches. The amount of thread on each bolt is 2-3/32 inches. The U-bolt diameter is 6 mm or 15/64 inch. I am including a picture of the U-bolt with the dimensions listed.

  The U-bolt size of the part # RUBK-MF is what you mentioned seeing in the attached picture. The knobs are larger so it might make them look smaller when looking at the product pictures. Larger u-bolts are not available and if they were they wouldn't fit the cargo box this was intended for.

  The u-bolts that come with the Heavy-Duty Crossbar Fit Kit for Rhino-Rack Master-Fit Rooftop Cargo Box part # RUBK-MF are 2-5/8" wide which you can see in the attached photo. This measurement is taken from the center of each bolt and the bolts are 15/64" diameter so if you need the width outside to outside then that would be 2-55/64" or 2-25/64" for the inside to inside width.

  The knobs of the Heavy-Duty Crossbar Fit Kit # RUBK-MF would only thread about half way down the threaded portion of the u-bolt. A better choice might be the part # UWSJBOLT which is normally used to attach truck bed tool boxes to the bed by the bed rails.

• Is Mounting Hardware Available To Fit Yakima Space Case Roof Box On Chevrolet Traverse Crossbars
  We do not offer a mounting kit that will work with the Spacecase 20 roof box you have. I spoke with my contact at Yakima and they no longer offer a replacement mounting kit for that series of roof boxes. If you wish to replace the roof box with a newer model I recommend the Yakima SkyBox 18 Rooftop Cargo Box, part # Y07336.   The max dimensions for a crossbar that the Yakima SkyBox 21 # Y07337 can accommodate is 3-1/2" x 1-11/16".
