Today we're going to take a look at the rivet nuts for the Reese Dual Cam HP Sway Control on tube frame trailers for a quantity of four. Now, these are designed to fit the Reese Dual Cam HP Sway Control, Part Number RP26002, which we do sell separately on our website, and these rivet nuts are designed to be used when you're installing your dual cam frame brackets to a tube frame trailer. Basically you just install these into the trailer frame, drill a hole, and then they're a snug fit. They press fit into it, and it allows the screws for the frame brackets to tighten down and not damage the tube frame.I happened to pull one of the screws that is used when installing those frame brackets, and you can see with this installed, that would screw right into here, so it is designed to fit the 1/2-inch by 13 thread per inch size screws, and this part is for a quantity of four rivet nuts. It comes with a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install them.That should do it for the review on the rivet nuts for the Reese Dual Cam HP Sway Control on tube frame trailers for a quantity of four.
Glad I was able to find these, bought a new camper and dealership didn't replace these, they just used self tapping screws.
Exact replacement part for transferring my Reese weight distribution system to our new trailer. Takes the guess work out of it. Thanks etrailer

Very Happy with the Reese Weight Distributing anti-Sway Hitch is still doing a GREAT Job. I fisrt installed it on a 35 Solaire Camper and now have it on a SportTek 39 Camper. Still doing a Great Job.

I purchased RP58507 'Rivet Nuts' as I had no confidence in the two or three threads holding the 'Cam Lock' sway control staying tight.
I rented a drill and torque wrench required and the installation was fairly painless. The product performed as advertised and the 'cam lock' brackets are still secure after a 1800+ tow in three days. The TT is a Denali 270FK with a dry weight of apx 7800 pds and gross weight towing per Cat Scale of 8887 pds.
Crap. Transferring my Reese trunion bar weight distribution hitch to our new trailer. Followed directions exactly. Drilled the 11/16 holes and inserted the nuts. Both spun freely as it appeared the knurled secrton had a slightly smaller OD. Now I have two large holes in the frame. Ended up putting bushings in the 2 holes and bought some grade 8 bolts and drilled through both sides of the tube frame and bolted the sway control to the frame. Didn't even try the blind nuts on the other side and just drilled the holes large enough for the bolts and bolted it on also. Would give it 0 stars if it was an option.
Items shipped fairly fast and fit good, a little pricey for what they are.

Package arrived 1 day earlier than stated. Etrailer is the ONLY company I never have any concerns with.
They fit loosely in the hole that is prescribed to drill. Peened steel around hole to tighten up fit. On one of the holes I drilled 1/32" of an inch undersize and used a dremel tool to enlarge the hole slightly. When trying to pound the rivet in place it mushroomed. Very frustrating and not good quality metal at all. The original 1" bolts are too short for these rivets. Had go out and buy 1 1/2". Make sure you get lock washers too. Overall it's very difficult to torque the bolts down because the rivet nuts spin in the hole even though you tighten up the opposing bolt. Not happy with this product. Best to drill through frame and install longer grade 8 bolts. Poor.
Purchased these rivet nuts to replace two rivet nuts that became loose on my Reese Straight Line Distribution Hitch. These appear to be the exact same rivet nuts that came with the hitch. I apparently did not tighten the original ones as I should have
but did not realize my error until I replaced with the new ones. New ones tightened to specified torque with no problem.
Transferring the Reese anti-sway cams to a new travel trailer. So nice to be able to purchase them separately!

Just 48 hours before leaving on an extended trip I found a problem with my trailer hitch. After consulting with the manufacture I searched several local supply houses, home improvement stores, and auto parts stores. One call to etrailer around 10 AM on Thursday and the parts were overnighted to me and installed by 11AM Friday.

The shank is exactly what it says it is. I needed the hitch head about even with the receiver on the truck, this one allowed that. I would of given it 5 stars but etrailers service was extremely disappointing. First it took them a week to actually ship it and they put this 25 pound piece of steel into a single cardboard box with a bit of paper around it. Obviously the box didn't survive the trip. I thought you guys were suppose to be good at this? You should take lesson from [other company] on how to pack materials.

Just do not use a Step Drill bit to do the drilling. I stopped at the proper size and have 2 of the Rivets spinning around in the frame. Luckily one on each side.
You have to leave some of the burred metal to grab the rivets and remember to use thread lock on the self taping nuts as well.
Product was fine but shipping was off the charts. There is a better way to ship to Alaska. Use the US Postal Service.
I'm always amazed at the excellent packaging the folks at etrailer ship their products in. The trailer hitch I ordered was delivered fast. The hitch and rivet nuts look excellent! Thanks for the instructions.

The Riv Nut on our Reece hitch had come halfway out of its hole in our frame, and we needed a new one. Nobody in town had them. Looks like fine quality product. Installation was a breeze.

Perfect... bolts have not come lose. Will buy again if needed.
