Specs:
The quiet, aerodynamic Reese Rail Extreme crossbars let you build a custom roof rack for your vehicle. The crossbars require 4 Reese DFE, FPE, RBU, or RBE end supports and a custom fit kit, if necessary, (sold separately) to mount the rack to your roof. You can mount carriers or other accessories to the bars via the integrated T-slot channels. The channels have removable rubber strips that can be cut to length to cushion the accessories and help reduce wind drag and noise. The bars are constructed of durable, anodized aluminum.
Aerodynamic Design
The crossbars sport an aerodynamic design. The sleek, low-profile design reduces wind drag so that your fuel efficiency isn't negatively impacted. It also gives you a quieter performance while driving when compared to similar racks that are shaped differently.
Durable Construction
The crossbars are made of an anodized aluminum and have an H-shaped internal extrusion that strengthens the bar without adding a significant amount of weight. And the aluminum bar wont rust so you can leave it on your roof year-round.
Slide-On Installation
Each crossbar has two underside channels with removable cover strips at each end that allow you to mount it to 4 different types of Reese end supports: Door Frame Extended, Fixed Point Extended, Rail Bar Universal, and Rail Bar Extended. A ruler printed along the length of each underside channel allows you to more easily center the application to the end supports. Cut the cover strip to length and reinsert them into the channels and position the slider to the edge of the end support to fill the remaining space and eliminate wind noise.
Lockable Endcaps
The endcaps securely attach with built-in quarter turn plugs. You can also swap out these plugs with Reese's One Key lock cores kit (sold separately) to help deter theft. These lock cores require only one key to lock and unlock the endcaps for the entire roof rack system.
Channel-Mounted and Clamp-On Accessories
Each crossbar has a built-in T-slot for carrying channel-mounted accessories such as bike racks, watersport carriers, ski racks, and more. You can also attach most clamp-on accessories to the bars. There are rubber strips built in to the T-slots that keep the crossbar channel capped and quiet. You can remove, trim, and re-insert the strips to accommodate the mounting hardware of your accessories. Replacement strips (sold separately) are also available if you remove your accessories or switch to clamp-on accessories.
