Quick delivery. Redline 12-10 AWG Quick Splice Wire Connectors are a much better quality than the ones I had purchased at an auto parts store, better stronger construction. I will use to splice a 10 gauge charge wire with another 10 gauge wire when installing an electric tongue jack. The trailer battery is at the rear of the trailer in a small enclosed box so a 18 foot 10 gauge wire would have had to be run under the trailer to the battery, and the Quick Splice allows me to splice into a much closer portion of the charge wire to get power for the jack.

Everything is working great. Your parts helped me put a nearly new, yet fender-bendered, trailer back together for a very reasonable price. It rolls down the road great!Ill probably be contacting you all again in the near future for a wiring harness for a trailer brake controller on my new-to-me F250 when the weather finally decides to dry out a bit!.

I can't really give you a review, because I purchased them, but didn't use them. They looked well made, but I decided to do the wiring in a different way

OK splice connectors. Works well but hard to close connector. It would be great to have a tool other than pliers to close connector on wires.

- 562

The product is a simple well made connector. Use dielectric grease when you put them together and your connection will last much longer than without the grease. But the best part is the always spectacular all-around service from etrailer from comprehensive tutorials and reviews to the excellent shipping services. And the prices are good. It's what online retailing should be like in the perfect world. My humble opinion.

The brake assemblies I received seem to be just fine. They were a good fit on my trailer. Haven't completed the job yet to try the brakes out, but they look great. All my other parts were correct and very well packaged. I really appreciate the great customer service. These guys seem to really care.

  • Recommendations for Splicing Running Light Wires on a Tear Drop Camping Trailer
Instead of using a quick splice connector, I recommend splicing into the wiring using a butt connector and then using some shrink tubing or liquid electrical tape, # SWC50122, to seal the connections from the elements. We have different size butt connectors like # 05732-2 for 12 to 10 gauge wires and # 05731-5 for 16 to 14 gauge wires. You will want to be careful when adding lights to a trailer. If you add too many lights, it could be too much power draw on the tow vehicle electrical...

  • No Power To Reverse Lights On Trailer
In this senario, I would run a wire from the center pin of the 7-way to the reverse light circuit on your truck. This will enable you to bypass the fuse. Because of this direct connection you should be able to back up without your trailer brakes engaging. It is best to use a quick splice like part # 562 to tap into the circuit after probing the wiring for the reverse light with a tester like part # 40376. This bypasses your issue but doesn't actually fix the problem of not getting...

  • Quick Splice and Circuit Tester for Tapping into Vehicle Reverse Light
None of the trailer wiring harnesses we offer are designed to tap into the circuit you need. Only option would be to use a quick splice like part # 562 to tap into the circuit after probing the wiring for the reverse light with a tester like part # PTW2993.

  • How To Install a Trailer Wiring Harness to a 2011 Toyota RAV4
You will not want to connect your trailer wiring directly to the wiring harness of your 2011 Toyota RAV4. You will need to isolate the trailer wiring from the vehicles sensitive circuitry, so it does not put a strain on the system and cause your vehicles wiring harness to be overloaded and fail. I would recommend to use the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118412. This wiring harness will plug into connectors located behind the vehicles tail lights and comes with a powered Modulite...

  • How to Tap Into 3rd Brake Light Wire on 2005 GMC Sierra
We do not have OEM type vehicle wiring connectors but you can make a spliced connection to your 2005 Sierra's 3rd brake light wire using a Quick-Splice connector such as # 562. These allow you to tap into that vehicle wire's brake light switch signal which is sometimes required for hardwired brake controller installations.

  • Camper Shell Lighting for 2003 Dodge Ram 2500
The wiring of a camper shell on a 2003 Ram 2500 would basically be the exact same as the 2004 model. To wire the third brake light of your camper shell on your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 you will need to find the CHMSL circuit. This will be the circuit that will only carry voltage when the brakes are applied and would not blink with either blinker. This circuit is located behind the spare tire, slightly to the left. There will be a white wire with a brown/tan stripe that is capped and outside...

While I can't address why we carry some products and not others what I can tell you is that the Redline Quick Splice Wire Connector # 562 you referenced is absolutely comparable in quality to the 3M we carry in the higher gauge. If you take a look at the reviews for part # 562 you can see our customers who have used it have had no qualms with it.

  • Finding 12v Constant Power Wire On A 2002 Chevrolet Silverado
The most common way to get power from the rear of your vehicle is to get it from the running lights. Go to your lights in the back and start your truck. Test to make sure you have the running light power wire and splice into it using this connector # 562. That's perfect for your backup camera because you're not pulling power from the front of the vehicle and having to run all that wire back to the camera.

  • Best Wiring Options for Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer
You have a few options when it comes to 5th wheel wiring for your truck. Most trucks come with factory 7-way trailer connectors at the bumper. If your truck has a factory 7-way, then I recommend installing a 5th wheel wiring harness like the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel Harness, # 41157. In-bed harnesses provide a quick and easy connection point in the bed, so you don't have to modify the existing trailer harness to make it longer or use an extension. This harness has a 90-degree plug,...

In order to install LED lights in your trailer, such as the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Interior Light # ILL08COB, you will just need to run the interior lights power wires to a switch like the Pollak # PK34513. To reach this length, I recommend using 10 or 12 gauge wire, like # 10-1-1, which is sold by the foot. You will then end the wire at your trailer battery's positive terminal. If you need some wire for electric brakes you can use # 10-1-1. The connector sounds like it might be a quick splice connector such as # 562 also known as a Scotch Lock which is the 3M name brand.
