Specs:
Add another Redarc solar panel to your solar system to increase your charging power and extend your off-grid campout. Multiple-panel solar arrays are most efficient when you use panels with the same wattage, so we recommend adding this to a system with other 120-watt panels. When panels of different wattages are combined, the panel with the larger rating will have its performance reduced.
Be mindful of the amperage and wattage limitations of your solar charge controller, as exceeding those limits may cause the solar array to not function.
Redarc offers multiple options for connecting multiple panels. It's important to understand what effect they will have. If you are unsure of what would work best for you, you should consult an electrician or dealer for professional advice and installation.
Redarc offers Anderson connectors to wire panels in series (RED53VR) or parallel (RED59VR). By wiring your panels in series, you will increase the total panel voltage output. By wiring your panels in parallel, you increase the total amperage. In both cases, you get increased battery charging power going to your solar charge controller. If you increase your total voltage or amperage beyond what your charge controller can handle, it will not function properly. In solar arrays of 4 or 6 panels, you can wire half in series and half in parallel, so neither the volts nor amps exceed your controller's limitations. By being mindful of these options, it can save you the pain of having to buy a more expensive solar charge controller that can handle the increased input.
Redarc also offers MC4 style connectors for wiring panels in parallel (RED78VR). Since the connectors on the panel itself use MC4 connections, this eliminates the need for an MC4 to Anderson adapter and will make for a cleaner install.
For installing panels on the roof of your RV, also remember to get some Redarc Solar Panel corner mounts (RED79VR) and side mounts (RED89VR). The side mounts are especially great for multi-panel arrays, as they hold two panels together at their corners, conserving space on your roof while holding panels securely.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this REDARC 120W Monocrystalline Solar Panel. Now this is a 120W solar panel, which will use the sunlight to charge your batteries. This is designed for fixed mount installation on your RV, your van, or anywhere else you'll need solar power. It is designed to work with the REDARC Solar Charge Controllers, the REDARC Dual Input BCDC Chargers, and the REDARC Manager30 battery management system. All those items we do sell separately on our website.
Now this Monocrystalline solar panel has the highest efficiency rate, typically in the 15 to 20% range. And the high efficiency rate means that it produces more power per square foot and is therefore very space efficient. Does use a nice tempered glass coating and aluminum frame. I just swing this around, you'll see it's framed with a nice aluminum, and it makes it able to withstand harsh road and weather conditions. Now they do offer mounting brackets to install this, we do sell them separately on our website.
There are many different types of mounting brackets, and they are usually listed on this product page as a related product, but you would have to purchase those separately. Now this does use the MC4 Connectors, I just want to show you in the back here. And if we zoom in a little bit here, you can see here's your Junction Box, and then here's your Positive MC4 Connector, here's your Negative MC4 Connector makes it very easy, quick and easy set up, it's just a plug and play. The cable length on this one, you let, open it up, is about 35 inches total. Now this is manufactured to CE Standards.
I do want to give you a few dimensions on this, we're going to measure the length from this end to this end. So if we put our tape measure on it, we go all the way, it's going to be right at 39 and a half inches long. The width from the bottom to the very top, is right at 26 and three eighths inches, and the depth of this is only, you can see it's not very deep at all, it's right at about one and three eights inches deep. Now a few specs on this, the rated peak power is 120 Watts, maximum system voltage is 600 Volts DC, maximum power current six amps, maximum power voltage 20 volts, this does have an operating temperature range of a negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, and the weight of this is about, 16 and a half pounds. Now this is the 120 Watt panel, we do also offer it in a 50 Watt, 80 Watt, 180 Watt and a 200 Watt panel, and again, those are sold separately on our website.
It does come with this nice owner's guide or user's guide, right here. And if you go through it, it'll help you, show you how to install it and how it operates. But that should do it for the review on the REDARC 120W Monocrystalline Solar Panel..

Have just return from a camping trip with the solar panel installed. It worked great. Had full batteries during the day while running my refrigerator. My overall purchase experience was excellent. William took care of the issue I had with the first panel which I received that was slightly damaged in shipping. He arranged a replacement which arrived in time for my trip. Installation was easy and very secure. Looking forward to this year which will included long trips to hot locations and I will be using my freezer to enjoy ice cream. Thanks!
If you do a lot of remote camping, this works really well. Combined with a BCDC charger, this is the ultimate batery charging system.
