Note: Quick Fist clamps are not to be used on exhaust pipes or any pipe that consistently exceeds a temperature of 180 F (82 C).
A new Quick Fist clamp fresh out of the mold can be stiff. Use two hands to open the jaws vertically and then pull each jaw once or twice. Close the jaws and open and close the strap a couple of times. It's now ready for mounting.
For applications where the Quick Fist clamp will be used at or near its maximum opening dimension, the clamp will not work in your hand, as it must be bolted to a fixed surface for the rubber to stretch properly.
Mount your small tools like fishing rods and AA-cell flashlights with the mini Quick Fist clamp.
Mount your shovels, axes, D-cell flashlights, and high lift jacks with the Quick Fist original clamp.
Mount a fire extinguisher, air tank, nitrous tank or other tools that are 2.5" to 9.5" in diameter with the Quick Fist super clamp.
1. Use either a #10 screw or bolt and washer to fasten. (Alternatively, you may use 4 sheet metal screws and washers through the holes on the four corners of the pad.) Do not over-tighten.
2. Mount with the strap facing in any direction.
3. To clamp: put the tool or implement into the jaws. With both of your thumbs on the strap, push strap to reach the desired tightness. Repeat as necessary.
4. For smaller diameter objects, push jaw without strap inside the other jaw and tighten strap on top of jaw.

4. For certain applications, like roof racks with round tubing, you can install the Quick Fist clamps using hose clamps. Make sure you center the hose clamp on the plastic washer to avoid cutting into the rubber clamp.
5. For smaller diameter objects, push jaw without strap inside the other jaw and tighten strap on top of jaw.
You may also install your high lift jack using three Quick Fist clamps spaced evenly along the steel bar of the jack.
1. Drill out a hole in the Quick Fist clamp with a 7/16" (12 mm) bit. Use a 2-1/2" (65 mm) long, 3/8" (10 mm) bolt to attach the clamp.
2. To mount the jack, hold it parallel to the three clamps. Put one end of the jack into a Quick Fist clamp, with the bolt through the steel bar, and then loosely lock the clamp. Next, place the steel bar into the other two clamps and lock. After all three clamps are holding the jack, tighten as necessary.
1. Use three #10 bolts or screws to fasten. Do not over-tighten.
2. After fastening the Quick Fist Super clamp, stretch the strap by putting one hand on the base and use the other to pull in a perpendicular direction several times on the strap.
3. If you plan on holding a large cylinder and the base is not supported, it is advisable to use a piece of angle iron, wood block, or shelf bracket to support the bottom of the cylinder. This will also make it easier to lock the clamp in place.
4. The strap is divided into three sections. The first holds objects up to 3"; the second, 5"; and the third, up to 7". If desirable, excess sections can be trimmed of with wire cutters or scissors.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Quick Fist Clamp Kit. This is part number QF90010. It's a really nice kit for your cargo control organization. You're going to have 2 of the super clamps. These are a nice large diameter clamp. You can see here we're holding our ATV ramp.
It's also good for any kind of cylinders, things like that. The kit's also going to contain 2 of the mini clamps. These are great for the smaller diameter items, a lot of the small flashlights, as you can see here. These are going to work good for the round, square, rectangular style stuff. Best suited if you want to keep anything from turning would be a round because it's a round clamp, but, as you can see here, it's still going to do a good job of holding that in place and not letting it go anywhere.
The kit's also going to have 4 of the original clamps. As you can see here, these are nice sized diameter clamp, great for holding hammers. These could be mounted vertically, as you can see here, or we can mount them for horizontal holding as well. Let me put our torque wrench down here. Then we could take a look at the clamp itself. As you can see, the Quick Fist lines the clamp here.
The nice rubberized material allows for a lot of flexibility. This is going to give us a wide variety of applications that we can use it for. On the top side, you're going to have grooves. These grooves are designed as we pull our strap in to give us different settings for tension. On each of the clamps, it will give us varying tensions, so things of various size are all going to get that same nice, firm hold.
Mounting in the case of the originals that we have here is just going to be a single number 10 or larger screw, bolt, whatever you're going to be using. They provide you with a little black space so that you'll put it in place. It's going to hold nice and tight, that rubberized material. While you can turn it slightly, it's not one of those things that's just going to be rotating on you all the time and you're always trying to get it set up the way you want it. Once your item is in there, pull that back as tight as we can get it there. That locks into place. Until we need it again, that's going to be right there holding our item in place for us. Here you can see one of our sets of larger super clamps. These can be used singularly for lighter items, or if you've got heavier items, like a fire extinguisher or something, just double it up. As you can see, a nice, large diameter fire extinguisher, and we still got 2 more notches here that we'd be able to adjust it to for items just a little bit larger than that. Really neat set up. Another good use is just keeping tools and items up out of the way. Typically, we put a sledge hammer or something here. I don't have one of those, so I just wanted to show you on the shovel. Another good thing that this is going to point out, these are the original clamps. You can see the shovel's smaller here than it is here. It just doesn't matter. It's fully adjustable on the top. You can see that we've got this one set in on the third slot. Over here, we're all the way back to about the 5th slot. Fully adaptable to whatever it is that you want to hold. It holds it in place nice and steady. It's not going anywhere. Another really nice use that you can see here would be for your fishing pole, keeping this up off the floor where they can get damaged and broke. Again, different sizes, but it holds it well. Now that we've seen how they work in several different uses, that's going to complete today's look at the Quick Fist Clamp Kit, part number QF90010. .

Works great to secure a tree trimming pole and shovel out of the way in my service truck, as well as a fire extinguisher in a prominent location. I also store a flashlight for easy access, so it's not lost in the center console or a door pocket.
