Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the ProGrip Quick Anchor Temporary Anchor Straps, measuring about seven inches long, and offering a 400 pound capacity. Part number is 317-861220.Now the Quick Anchor point is the perfect solution for a situation such as this. At least this is when we use them most often, but they really serve a lot of different purposes and a lot of different applications. Basically, you're trying to tie something down on your vehicle, and instead of it having a direct connection point, you're bringing it across the surface of your paint or maybe your fascia. So the Quick Anchor design allows us to use any gap in our vehicle, so between the door and the roof, or between our hood and our fender, we can put our Quick Anchors in place and that's gonna give us an excellent connection point. We won't have to worry about our paint or damaging anything we're trying to secure. Now the Quick Anchor is gonna have a very basic design but it's extremely effective.
So you're gonna have a larger area here, that's gonna be closed inside so it can't come out. That's gonna create that anchor point that we're looking for. Now from that point to the top of the hook here, we've got about four and a half inches. Overall, we're closer to seven inches, but with this little wider area, it might be just a little bit shorter, depending on how it was sewn. Now the attachment point's gonna be a chrome, heavy duty ring.
It's got an inch and a half width inside, so most of your straps you shouldn't have any problem getting secured. But to get it to work, we simply need to place it in one of those body gaps we talked about. Make sure you're not gonna smash anything. Now, once that's in place, you're gonna move it to a stop point. It's like ours will be right there in this application. Bring our hook in and them just tighten down our strap.
This is gonna eliminate any contact between our securing device and our vehicle. So we really shouldn't have any problems with paint wear. That will complete our look at the ProGrip Quick Anchor Temporary Anchor Straps, part number 317-861220.
