Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the replacement mounting bracket for your hood latch. This is an old school style Jeep latch for your hood. So normally a anchor would come up and hook into this and that's what's going to hold your hood down.So several different styles of these. We'll take a look at this one a little bit closer to make sure it's the right one for you. So you can see it's going to be a two hole design, as far as the mounting points. The distance between those holes center to center is about one and three eights inches.
The overall length of our bracket is about one and 15/16, so just barely shy of two inches. And then about seven eighths of an inch tall.It is made out of a sturdy steel construction and has a chrome finish, so it's going to match that latch and also keep it protected. See on the inside there's little tabs, that's also going to hook onto our other piece to help keep everything down. It's going to hook onto that latch to keep our hood in place.That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the replacement mounting bracket. This does not come with any hardware, so you will have to provide that on your own.
And one last measurement I'll give you, the whole size is about quarter of an inch for each of those mounting holes. So if you find some quarter inch hardware, that should work out pretty well. But thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.
