Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at these 72 inch long battery clamps for the NOCO Boost Max GB500 Jump Starter. Now, these battery clamps will let you extend the reach of your Boost Max GB500 Jump Starter an extra 72 inches, and allows for a nice quick connection to any 12 volt or 24 volt battery. Now, these battery clamps are compatible with the cam-lock connectors on the Boost Max GB500 Jump Starter. The cables will connect to the GB500 using those cam-lock connectors, and it lets you quickly attach the cables or disconnect them. Now, to attach them, what you'll do, let me just zoom in to show you up close, if you look on the cam-lock connector, there's a little raised area, and what you'll do is line up that raised section of the plug to fit the cam-lock connector port, there's a little cutout.
So you push that into the connector port, once it's in there, you just twist the cable, and it locks the cables in place. This will prevent them from coming loose or accidentally disconnecting during use. Now, unlike your typical plastic battery clamps, these Boost Max clamps are constructed entirely of metal, they do ensure maximum conductivity. And if you noticed, the clamps themselves are covered with this nice over-molded plastic housing, which makes it very easy to operate even if you have work gloves on. And what's nice is when you do press this to open it, it will give you a wide two inch band that'll fit any terminal size, and it uses high tension springs, you can see it's very hard to get it open.
Once you get it open and put it onto the terminal, those high tension springs will allow it to stay attached to the terminals. And the teeth on them, they do have a gridded teeth here that'll grip onto the terminals real good. It does use a durable 2/0 AWG size silicone cable, and that cable will remain flexible in cold weather, so you won't struggle while positioning the clamps. You can see how flexible these cables are, being that large of a size, sometimes they'll hold their own position, but you can see with these, they're very flexible. A few specs again, these are heavy-duty battery clamps designed for jump starting both 12 volt and 24 volt gas and diesel engines.
The heavy-duty design of the clamps will transfer maximum current with minimal power loss, and as we mentioned, each cable, both positive and negative, is 72 inches long. But that should do it for the review on the 72 inch long battery clamps for the NOCO Boost Max GB500 Jump Starter..
