Hi, everyone. Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the wire storage basket for your Malone MegaSport trailer. This is going to be a great addition to your Mega Sport trailer, just because this thing can hold about 11 kayaks. 11 Kayaks means 11 sets of gear. If you've got a truck, you might be able to put it in the bed of the truck, but it just be nice to kind of keep everything nice and organized together.

And this way we have a way to store not only our Kayaks, but all our gear too. So this is going to be a steel construction with a nice powder coat finish to give it a nice, good look, and also resist against rust and corrosion. We are going to have a dimensions of about 48 inches long by 18 inches deep, and it is going to be about 16 inches down.This wire basket comes with all the hardware that you need to install it onto your Mega Sport trailer comes with a Cam Buckle type strap to keep this lid from coming undone when you're going down the road. It is removable, pretty tight fit, and we're all going to achieve about eight cubic feet of storage space. I have my beach bag here with a life jackets, pool noodles and pool toys for the kids.

I got my tackle box for efficient and the smaller one also for the kiddo. So we are going to be able to even fit more stuff in here, which is always nice. But the other nice thing that I was thinking about a lot of times when we're at the beach or using the like jackets, they're usually wet. To put it into my fabric bag over there, it might soak everything up, but we don't have to do that since it's such a fine wire made basket, nothing's going to fall out so we can put all that wet gear in there and let the air when you're going down the road dry it.One thing that I like when I'm going on a trip, I like to keep everything together, meaning all my Kayaks, all my kayaking gear, life vests, everything I need for that. It can stay with the trailer.

You don't have to add cargo to your vehicle because you're already going to have your clothes and everything like that. In my opinion, this is definitely going to be a nice addition to the trailer. Just because again, you can just keep all of your water sport goods in here. And we don't have to worry about getting the inside of our car all wet. If it does, if we do end up going kayaking, swimming, or anything like that, it's just all in all going to protect the inside of your vehicle.

But on top of that, just kind of keep everything together just to protect your guys time together.Cause half the time we don't really have a whole lot of time to go on vacation with our family. This way, all we have to do is just hook up the trailer and everything is ready to go. So once we get our basket place, what we want to do is take our included hardware and then we're actually going to fish it through the inside of our basket. The way it's going to sit is kind of diagonal like that. And this little lip here is going to go on a bar on the actual backs, get itself, and we're going to take our plate here, get it up into place. And then we can grab our nylon lock nuts that are included.Throw those on there by hand. Now all we need is a deep well 14 millimeter socket to finish up the job. Go back and forth between the two, and if you can manage to keep that lip over the bar of our basket, once we're done, it's going to be the same as the installation on the other side. So once we confirm that the basket is nice and firm into place, you can just go ahead and start loading up a gear.Once we do that, put this topper on, we can go ahead and strap it down. One thing I think would be easiest before we put this top on is to feed this strap through the basket part first, the roof on it, and then we'll just link it back to that strap, push it through.
