Combo review - the trailer is PERFECT (MMalone MicroSportXT Trailer - 78" Crossbars - Retractable Tongue). I put it together over several evenings after work. Directions and online videos were helpful - pretty easy build. Have used the trailer several times and am so happy with it. Lightweight, easy to load the boat. I added the kickstand, which is handy for keeping the trailer level and for pushing the trailer around. So happy with this trailer and etrailer.com - very responsive.
Went right on to the kayak trailer with no problems. The screws are long enough for many trailer frames. Appears to be well made and looking forward to using it.
Arrived fine not installed yet.
Good for what it is. I used it for my Yakima Rack and Roll kayak trailer to keep the tongue off the ground and help when maneuvering. But, it isn't a perfect fit and the whole thing rotated a bit on the trailer. Still works ok. The wheel doesn't rotate around very easily when changing the direction of the trailer, so that's a bit of a pain.
Very happy with trailer. Fairly easy to assemble but directions could be better. Took about 4 hours to build basic trailer by myself. Additional 1.5 hrs. to add carriers, spare tire, kick stand, etc.
My Malone trailer is awesome, but this kickstand has never worked as I had hoped. The wheel doesn’t spin properly and I have to lift the tongue and kick it to make it turn. It’s installed properly, but sits a little cockeyed on the tongue which causes it to bind. I should have returned it, but I was lazy.
Had the kickstand assembled and connectec to the trailer about thirty minutes after delivery, Everything I expected and will make it easier to manage the trailer when connecting and disconnecting from the hitch.

It is IMPORTANT to remember to elevate the kickstand and store it properly before traveling. During a recent trip I kept feeling and hearing a worrisome noise from the trailer. I stopped twice and could see nothing wrong. The third stop was for another inspection and gas. Another guy told me I needed to lift up the kickstand and store it properly. Live and learn
Very convenient to have the kickstand when putting the trailer on and off the tow hitch, and for storage. When it was installed, I found that the fit onto the trailer frame was less than ideal but once installed, the kickstand works as we wanted it to perform.
I’ve owned many trailers and have had several tongue kickstands. I haven’t installed this yet but it looks to be heavy duty and should last a long time. The packaging needs some upgrade, as my box was fully open when I received it, and the contents not very well wrapped.
Great company with great customer service! A year ago we bought a Malone trailer from this company and were very pleased with all aspects of our purchase. We realized there was an addition we could order to make it easier to move our trailer around with our kayaks loaded on it. We just ordered a trailer tongue kickstand and like previous our previous experience ....... ordering was simple, delivery was speedy and product was as expected. Highly recommend this company!
This swivel jack installs and works as advertised. The clamp system on the model I received is different from the model demonstrated in the video and is designed to be mounted on the side of the trailer tongue rather than under it. It's a little clunky looking on my Malone trailer. I will be cutting off the bolts in order to clean up the installation a bit. etrailer's price was the best I could find and I am happy about that.
This makes moving a loaded trailer much easier. Installation was a snap. I only wish the wheel rotated mor freely. Otherwise, a great add on to my trailer.
Painted blue, and a pvc coated wire basket for gear storage with a bungee net cover. Stores my 16 ft. Xcat with sailing and rowing package plus my Blackfin SUP on top.
The kickstand serves its purpose but if I had to do it again I would purchase the more heavy duty one with the telescoping feature.

Still love the trailer. I was able to keep it in the garage over the winter because I could tip it up. So glad I dont have to throw the kayaks - or anything - on the roof anymore!
