Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Malone SpeedLine Mini Ratchet Tie-Downs for your bow and stern, part number MPG309. The Malone SpeedLine Ratchet Tie-Downs are great for securing your bow and stern and your kayak to your vehicle. These are a great simple solution for kayak carriers that don't come with bow and stern tie-downs, or if you misplaced your old bow and stern tie-downs, these are good replacements, or if you're just simply tired of tying several knots to secure your bow to your vehicle. The mini ratchets and the carabiners make tightening this down much easier. Comes with these tie-down loops to help secure it to both the kayak and the vehicle. Using the tie-down loops at the bottom of the connection points also reduce abrasion points for your vehicle.
Comes with everything needed to secure one bow. This has a low capacity of 150 pounds, and the cords measure 12 feet long by 1/8 of an inch wide. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. Once you open the box, this is what you're going to find inside. We're now four tie-down loops wrap around the connection loops for both the kayak and the vehicle, and the spring loaded carabiners that will connect to those. Our first step is we're going to connect both of our loops to both the kayak and our vehicle connection point.
To do that, as you see it's one giant loop here, we'll thread it through whatever our connection point may be, putting the one end through that loop there and pulling tight until it forms a connection point. At the front of our vehicle, we've attached it to a toe hook loop point, so now we'll get our carabiners and attach those as well. Now to get some additional slack, we'll push in on this tab, this metal tab here, to give us some rope to work with. Next, we'll attach our carabiner to our loop, the bottom, then bring it up to our second loop like so. And then, we'll just pull it tight until it's nice and taught.
We'll tie off the rest of the excess, and it gives you plenty of rope to work with. And there you have it for the Malone SpeedLine Mini-Ratchet Tie-Downs, part number MPG309.

Excellent product selection and customer service. Speedy delivery and follow up. 527409
This is the best thing for anyone who has trouble with securing your gear, easy and fast. My wife loves it, she says it's a 10 out of 5. Which makes me feel more comfortable when she puts her kayak on and goes, I don't worry about her securing her kayak or gear by herself. It's the easiest lashing equipment to use by far. Will be ordering this up for me as well. 525700
I needed a method to fasten our kayaks securely fron and back while travelling and these speedlines did the trick. Good quality but a bit pricey for what the are. 520069
