How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the line of Solera Replacement Awning Fabric. Keep in mind the awning fabrics are going to be available in a variety of different sizes and color combinations. So just see etrailer.com for your specific needs. To find the particular size that you're going to need you're going to measure from the center of your arm, to the center of the other arm.So here I went ahead and laid out our old awning. Our customer removed it to bring it into us like this.
Now, many times with campers over the years, the awnings are going to start showing some wear, whether they start to get brittle and cracking and just start falling apart, getting moldy, showing some sun fade, or maybe you got a tear in it and they just started leaking. It's a pretty typical thing over some time, and it's a good idea to replace them.If this side of your awning starts falling apart and getting brittle, you're really not even going to be able to operate it because this is the side that connects the camper itself. Now see, tend to just feel our old awning, you can just tell it's just kind of thin, and honestly, to me, it just feels almost like a cheap tarp. Now, compared to our new awning, as soon as you feel it, you're going to tell the major difference. To me feels much thicker and almost more like a nice set of window blinds than a tarp, which makes sense because it is made from a very heavy-duty vinyl.
And because of that, it's also going to stand up really well against those cold temperatures, and you're not going to have to worry about it cracking, whereas on the old one, you can see it didn't hold up very well.Once it does start cracking, then you start to get some moisture underneath, in between the layers, start to accumulate some mold and none of that we want to deal with. The replacement fabric is universal, and it's going to work with all of your common awning setups. Now, as far as installation goes, it is relatively straight forward. However, I would recommend having a few friends close by to give you a hand just because of the sheer size. All it's going to do is slide into the tracks on your motor home and your awning, and then roll up on itself.
And that'll finish up our look at the line of Solera Replacement Awning Fabric..
