Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Components Replacement Parts - Ground Control 3.0 Control Module - LC304136

Today we'll be taking a quick look at the replacement control module for Lippert Brown control 3.0 electric leveling system. This is going to replace that control module to make sure that all your ground control jacks work correctly. This just mounts to the compartment underneath the coach, and it has stickers on it to let you know exactly how it needs to be oriented. We'll have this one, it says that this arrow needs to be pointed towards the front of the vehicle. Then we'll have our left front, left front, and then right rear and right front. It makes it pretty easy to figure out how this needs to be oriented, and then another sticker there to let us know that it needs to be mounted this side up.It does not come with the hardware to get this installed, so you will either need to purchase some on your own, or reuse the hardware from your old module.

We'll have our wires coming off here that you get connected to everything. We have our plugs that will plug up to our jack motors and sensors. It comes with four 35 amp fuses in place, and this is a direct replacement from Lippert Components, but just for reference, I'll give you some measurements. It's about eight and a half inches long from the mounting flange to the other side. The distance between those two mounting flanges, center to center, is right about eight inches.

In the other direction, it measures about five and a quarter inch, side to side. And then those mounting holes, center to center, are about three and an eighth inches apart. Overall, it sits about three inches tall with the fuses in place. And again, this does work with the ground control 3.0 electric leveling system, part number LC 38. Excuse me. LC 358590.

If you need any other replacement parts for your ground control leveling system, we have a lot of options available here at etrailer.com, so definitely check those out. And, that's going to do it for the look at the replacement ground control. The replacement control module for the Lippert ground control 3.0 electric leveling system.

We had arrived to our campsite when the control module for our auto leveling electric jacks went out. I called trailer and was able to get a replacement shipped to me. Rachel B. was incredibly helpful and was able to get the item shipped a day early. I ordered the item on a Tuesday and it arrive in California on Thursday. I fixed the jacks and it's been good so far. The repacement module is slightly different. The biggest difference is in the way it connects to power. The old module has a post for positive and negative wires from the trailer batteries. The new module simply has wires requiring you to snip off the original connections and, using wire nuts, connect the new module to the trailer. E trailer has always been great and I will continue to be a very happy return customer. 463904

Do you have a question about this Accessories and Part?

  • How to Determine Middle Jack Placement of Lippert Ground Control 3.0
  • I spoke with a representative of Lippert concerning the installation of the middle jacks on your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 - 6-Point Set # LC675817 and was told that there is not a set distance. What you will need to do is run a string line like in the directions (see accompanying photo) and the middle jacks when retracted must be above that line. So depending on the measurement of that string it might be possible for you to mount the middle jacks 48 inches forward. I also asked about...

  • Leveling System Compatible with 42 Foot 5th Wheel Trailer
  • The Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w/ Touchpad and Remote - 20,000 lbs # LC358590 is designed for trailers where the measurement from the front landing gear to the rear is 20 feet or less. If longer, then the manufacturer recommends the 6 point system # LC675817 which adds two middle legs. They always navigate to the safe side, because they rate the 4 point system as 20k capacity based on each individual jack rated for 5K capacity. We do not carry...

  • Troubleshooting Error on Front Right Jack of Ground Control Leveling System on Trailer
  • With the Error RF on your system, since the unit will not go up or down, I recommend checking the connection wires on that jack. If there is a lack of power to the jack, this error will occur. Test the wires using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. Next, test the jack using a 12V jumper wire and ground while disconnected from the system. This will help you know if the jack is bad, or if there is a connection that is bad. If the front leg is bad, you can use the Replacement Lead Leg for...

  • Troubleshooting Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Experiencing Retraction and Power Issues
  • With your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590, since you have power to the unit confirmed and have already disconnected the touch pad and controller letting them remain disconnected for more than 15 minutes for reset, you will most likely need to replace the control module. This is the brains of the system and since you can manually retract we don't know the fuses are good so you will want to check them individually on that control module. 9 out of 10 times, replacing the control module...

  • When your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590 has a reading that says "Comm Error" it is referring to the communication between the controller and touch pad. You will need to check your harness to ensure it is connected properly and there is no damage or corrosion. If it all looks good then you'd need a new control module part # LC304136.

  • Rear Leg Will Not Retract on Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Leveling System
  • I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System part # LC358590. The first thing you are going to want to do is check for blown fuses on the control board. If the fuses are good to go then you will want to make sure there is not a binding issue within the jack leg. To do this you will want to use the manual override feature on the top or bottom and make sure there is no resistance when turning. If there is resistance...

  • Recommended Replacement Control Panel for 2014 Alpine 5th Wheel Leveling System
  • I recommend replacing your touchpad with the Replacement Auto Level Control Panel for Lippert Ground Control Leveling System # LC421484. There really are only 3 components to these systems; the control panel, the control module # LC304136, and the motors on each leg. The only thing to check before replacing is the connections between the components.

  • The Lippert Ground Control 3.0 auto Leveling System does have replacement motors available. I recommend the Replacement Hall Effect Motor for Lippert Components Ground Control 3.0 Leveling System # LC343758 which is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Open Range 386FLR trailer. This motor will simply connect to your current system and will work perfectly as it measures rpms instead of amps for proper auto leveling.

  • I spoke with my contact at Lippert regarding the error message issue you are having with your Ground Control Leveling System. He says it sounds like the controller may have gone bad. To check this you can cut power to the controller and just do a hard reset for about 15 minutes and then power the unit back on. If you still get the error message on the panel then the controller will need to be replaced. If you have the 3.0 Ground Control Leveling System # LC358590 the correct replacement...

  • Is Lippert Ground Control Auto Leveling System Designed to Be Easily Manually Operated
  • The middle and rear jacks of a Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC675817 are basically the same jacks so manually operating the rear would be the same as the rear, but accessing the middle jacks would be difficult as they typically install in an area that would be harder to get to. Since your trailer is a 2018 Pinnacle RSTS and I am sure is still under warranty the most reasonable solution would be to take the trailer back to the dealer you bought it...

  • Troubleshooting Lippert Leveling System Reset Light
  • I reached out to my tech contact at Lippert and he said there are a couple things to check. First he said it sounds like the jacks are not retracted all the way up and if you press and hold the front arrow the jacks should extend if there is power getting to the unit. If they start working, then extend all the jacks 6 inches and then retract them to see if the display changes. The sensor may have had a misread on the retraction prior. In the service manual you will need to follow the instructions for Homing Jacks and Zero Point Calibration on page 6. • LCI Electronic Leveling Power is Intermittent on a 2016 Raptor 412ts
  • It sounds like there may be an issue with the battery on your trailer. Either it has a low charge or needs to be replaced. I recommend having the battery tested and replaced as needed. When plugged into shore power the battery is likely getting a charge which would explain why it works better. Beyond that you can check the wiring and ground connections and clean away any corrosion as needed. A poor ground could cause a similar problem.
