Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the RV kitchen sink drain. This is also going to have the little strainer basket in there. This is going to keep any kind of other debris, things like silverware or large food particles from getting down into your system and causing any issues there. It also helps to block the flow of water, so you can fill up your sink with water or with suds, so you can wash your dishes, and then open it up and let that water drain out.It includes the drain, the strainer, the mounting ring, and also this foam gasket, so we can get everything mounted up pretty simply. You might need a little bit of silicone for sealing underneath the lip there, as it sits down in the sink.
That foam gasket and the mounting ring will kind of hold against the bottom side of your sink basin, but then you might want to have just some kind of sealant going around that sink on the underside. It is made out of a plastic construction, so we shouldn't have to worry about any kind of corrosion with this. And that's pretty common for RV sinks or just about anything for an RV, is that a lot of it's just made out of plastic. As far as the dimensions, the outer diameter here of the top of our sink is going to be 2 3/4" wide. The outer diameter of our threaded portion is about 1 7/8". So this will work for drain holes that are 2" in diameter, and as far as the length of threads, we have about 1 3/8" to work with.
The total height of our sink, it's about 1 1/2" deep, and the inner diameter, this kind of indents there in the center, going from the center of that to the same point on the other side, it's about 1 3/8". This is made in the USA, and it also has a one-year warranty from LaSalle Bristol. But that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the RV kitchen sink drain with strainer basket. This is available in a couple other configurations and different colors, so if you need something a little bit different, you can always turn to us here at etrailer.com to find what you need. Thanks for watching, we'll see you next time..
The sink drains were same as the old ones, so installation was straight forward. I do have a minor concern as that one package was open and that the drain threads was buggered up for the first three turns. It seem to work OK and tighten up.
Arrived quick and was easy to install, works great!
Prompt order fulfillment. Followup check from etrailer to make sure my order arrived. Reasonable price. What more could I want?!
These were easy to install and look great in our sinks.
Easy to install, not very well made but good for the price.
thank you
