Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak 13-inch E-coat finish rotor with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern for 7,000-pound axles. Now this is a slip-on, over-the-hub rotor which makes it very easy to convert your idler axle to a disk brake axle. It's designed to fit over the standard idler hub and it's held in place by the wheel and the wheel bolts. This is a cast iron construction which ensures a nice favorable friction coefficient for necessary stopping power. The finish on this rotor is an E-coat finish which provides corrosion resistance for fresh water and limited salt water use. If you notice on this rotor it also is a vented design which will effectively dissipate the heat.
It prevents any heat-related damage to the rotor. What's nice about this on a slip-on rotor, there's no need to replace your entire hub-and-rotor assembly if only your hub or rotor becomes damaged. Now, the distance from your hub face to the hub face will increase by approximately 1/2 an inch. This part is made in the USA. The specs on this again, it's designed to fit axle capacities of 7,000 pounds. The wheel size that will fit on this is 16 inches and larger.
The bolt pattern again is an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, the overall diameter on this rotor from edge to edge, outside to outside is 13 inches. The inner diameter if we spin it around and measured inside here is 9 inches and the bolt hole diameter is 1/2 an inch. But that should do it for the review on the Kodiak 13-inch E-coat finish rotor with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern for 7,000-pound axles.
