Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement Stainless Steel Guide Bolt for the Kodiak Calipers on up to 8,000 pound axles. Now, this guide bolt right here will attach your disc brake caliper to the caliper mounting bracket. This is for a quantity of one bolt. It does require two bolts to attach your caliper to the bracket.
This is a stainless steel construction. It is designed to fit the Kodiak disc brake calipers for up to 8,000 pound axles. Works with the caliper number, model number DBC-225, or the model number DBC-250. If you notice, on the end of the threads here, it does have thread locker already installed on the threaded end of the bolt to help lock it in when you tighten it down. Give you a few measurements on this.
If we do the overall length, from one end to the very other end, is three inches. If we do the length, minus the head, it's gonna be right at two and seven 16ths inches. And then, if we just do the threaded portion, it's seven eights of an inch. Now, the bolt thread on the end here, it does measure M 11 by 1.5 metric sizing, which means it's an 11 millimeter diameter, and a 1.5 millimeter between the threads. The head size on this, you can see it has two different sizes.
The external, right here, is gonna be a half inch hex size. The internal is a five 16ths Allen size. But that should do it for the review on this replacement Stainless Steel Guide Bolt for the Kodiak Calipers on up to 8,000 pound axis.

It’s working the way it’s supposed to I’m very happy
Very good service. Guide bolt fell out on the way to Lake Powell. Etrailer was able to 2 day ship it to the hotel and everything worked out. Thank you etrailer.
Tellar was very kind and very helpful. Order only took approx 7 minutes and there was no waiting on hold for someone to help me. I received the part and was a great experience. Thanks so much!
Having the hex end will certainly aid in the removal of the caliper from the mounting/anchor bracket. The caliper(s) are very close to the trailer frame and getting a hex socket wrench in there was not easy. The hex head will allow use of a 1/2" ratchet wrench, thus ensuring that the calipers can be removed quickly to facilitate checking hub bearings on the boat trailer.
An exact fit, but they are proud of the bolts. Pretty spendy for what it is.
Quick order and delivery’s
The right replacement bolts. Item is hard to locate but etailer expert found it in stock for me. Thanks for your help.
I lost a bolt on my disk brakes and couldn't find a replacement anywhere on the internet. This was a perfect fit. I also purchased a new set of brake pads. All the parts arrived quickly and were of the highest quality. I'm very glad I discovered etrailer. I will be using them again.
I rebuilt my rusted-out brakes with completely stainless components. My only advice is to order ALL of the components that match the rotors and calipers at once, because the new parts did not match my old outdated ones.
Katie was very helpful.I could not find these bolts anywhere so I looked at etrailer and called and I had the bolts in three days. Thanks Katie

Direct replacement mounting bolts for the Kodiak 225 caliper
It was a small missing part that played a critical role. eTrailer was prompt in getting it to me and it has worked perfectly.
Product was as described. Only issue I have with Etrailer is when the shipping cost more than the product.
bought as spare for disc brakes. direct duplicate so is good to go.
Product was fine but I will never use the economy freight again it took a week to get here from ST Louis. But the sale people were great.
As described. Quick shipping. Easy install. I added additional blue locative in addition to the dried blue Loctite that came on the bolts.
So far so good 1 year later
