Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at this Kodiak Left Hand Driver's Side Stainless Steel Disc Brake Caliper for the 9,000 pound to 10,000 pound axles. Now, this is a driver's side disc brake caliper. It is constructed of stainless steel, and the stainless steel construction will prevent any flexing, helps keep your braking torque consistent, and it also offers superior corrosion resistance for fresh water or salt water use. This is a self-adjusting design, so it does ensure smooth, even braking.
Has a low drag ability, which will retract the piston further than traditional models, and that less friction will lead to a cooler running brake. The caliper here will include the bleeder screw, which is right here. The two stainless steel guide bolts with thread locker on them when you go to install this. The ceramic brake pads, I'm gonna just spin this around. As you can see, there's ceramic pads on each side.
And then the piston, which is in here. This is a stainless steel plated piston, and that piston is a three and three eighths inch diameter stainless steel piston. This will give you 30%, it's 30% larger than most disc brake systems, so it gives you increased braking torque and a shorter stopping distance. The brake pads we mentioned, they are ceramic brake pads that'll provide superior performance for more consistent braking, and they'll even withstand high temperatures for maximum wear. Application for this, this fits the driver's side disc brakes with the following specifications.
It'll fit on an axle rating of 9,000 pounds or 10,000 pounds, and the rotor diameter this fits on is 11 inches or 13 inches. Now, this one we mentioned is the driver's side. We do also saw the passenger side brake caliper if you need that one, and that goes by a part number of KD74FR. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Kodiak Left Hand Driver's Side Stainless Steel Disc Brake Caliper for a 9,000 pound to 10,000 pound axles.
