Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement stainless steel mounting bracket for the Kodiak disc brake caliper on 3,500-pound axles. Now this caliper mounting bracket is designed for use with the disc brake assemblies featuring over the hub rotors. These brackets are a stainless steel construction which is durable and rustproof. They do meet 1,000 hours salt spray rating.
And if you notice up at the top here, they use embossed bolt holes to provide extra thread contact for your caliper guide bolts when you're installing your caliber to the bracket. Gives you nice tight secure connection between the bracket and the caliper. Now the way this is designed, this will give you side support, which will ensure that the load is carried by the bracket, not just the bolts. And this is a universal design. It'll work for either left hand or right hand assemblies.
Again, the application that's for calipers on disc brake assemblies with over the hub rotors, axle cap rating of 3,500 pounds. This works with rotor diameters of 10 inches. And as you can see, the brake flange configuration, in other words, when this bolts to your brake flange on your axle, it is designed to work on a four-bolt brake flange. But that should do it for the review on the replacement stainless steel mounting bracket for the Kodiak disc break caliper on a 3,500-pound axle.

I work for a contractor for the government. We do a great deal of business with your company and others. We have had nothing but great results. Obviously I purchased high quality brackets which with the rotors will last for years to come.
I rebuilt my rusted-out brakes with completely stainless components. My only advice is to order ALL of the components that match the rotors and calipers at once, because the new parts did not match my old outdated ones.
So it's been a year now, and I love it! With saltwater boating, there's already enough things to worry about breaking, so it's nice to have the peace-of-mind of knowing that I don't have to worry about my corroding brake parts. Sure, it's expensive, but after replacing a few rotors, the break-even point is quickly realized. After one year, they still work well and look great.
I am a patient guy and give credit and feedback where it is due. I ordered on 5/12 and my order sat in limbo. I called Friday and the following Thursday. My original order was a dacroment replacement. I found out my original was top stock and needed to be pulled down. 8 days waiting to replace a split bracket! I upgraded to SS to a: get it faster since it was available in the birds nest. And b: uncertain how long it would take for the original to be pulled from top shelf in the warehouse. Great reps (2) i spoke to, BUT, YOUR WAREHOUSE NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER!! 8 days and a price increase to a different metal should not have to be done to get your order that is desperately needed for repair.
Part fit perfectly and still is in great shape.
Thank you.
