Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement power cord for the Kat's Heaters lower radiator hose heater. This is going to replace the removable power cord on your 400 watt or 600 watt Kat's Heaters lower radiator hose heater. And this is going to simply connect to the heater with the molded female end. So right here for our demonstration purposes, I happen to have the 400 watt lower radiator hose heater. And on your screen for your reference, I am providing our item number for this heater.
And just to show you that this does indeed work, let me match up the prongs here. And then that's just going to snap right in just like that. So it's going to be a very easy install. And then you're just going to simply route through your grill and plug in. But plug this into a standard 120-volt AC outlet or extension cord.
This is made here in the USA. It has a cord length of about four feet long and it uses 18 gauge wiring. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

They tell you not to unplug it from the heater right on the package but they sell it this way. It won't last. It melts the plug at the red end. it should be hard wired.

Hey Steve! I reached out to the manufacturer about this and they said they havent gotten complaints or reports about the plugs melting. They also mentioned they have shied away from hard-wiring because if its not done right, it can damage the plug and then the whole thing would need to be replaced. Are you saying yours is melting or has melted some? Would you be able to send some photos in of that?
