Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Jensen Marine Antenna

Today we're going to take a look at the Jensen 14 inch tall AM/FM Top or side mount marine antenna. Now this is an AM/FM antenna. The length of it is about 14 inches in height. It can be a top or a side mount. It has a 90 degree adjustable angle right here, and it does include the 60 inch cable. But just to show you right now, it's set up to be like a top mount.

So if you take a screwdriver and just loosen that screw right there, then you notice you can rotate it and use it as a side mount antenna. And then just tighten it back down and it's all in position, locked, ready to go. But that should do it for the review on the Jensen 14 inch tall AM/FM top or side mount marine antenna.

Needed to replace a broken wand on RV. Problem is that there are no pictures on the web that show with sufficient detail what the attachment end of the wand looks like. Naturally, my first purchase was a waste of money.

This one was identical to the one on the RV. The difference here is that the "ball" at the end was not symmetrical. Meaning, the side of the ball on the wand side is larger than the side that attaches to the RV. Removed the wand, threw away the rest, and wallah. Simple.

    The Jensen Marine Antenna part # 1181067 is made specifically for boats so that is what I would use instead of the Jensen Antenna part # AN519. The marine version has a coating to protect it from the elements and there is not a separate ground wire like there is for the above which can make things difficult when installing on a boat.

    Hey there Hilda, thanks so much for your purchase of the Jensen Heavy-Duty Mechless Marine Stereo # JHD40BT. Technically you were told correctly - it does not need an antenna to operate, but if your reception is weak, I do think it's a good idea to add one. The right part for your stereo is the Jensen Marine Antenna # 1181067. This will plug into a connector coming out of the wiring on the back (see photo), so you'll have to have it removed temporarily if it isn't currently accessible.
