Video Transcript for Checking Out the Heavy Duty Snap Fastener Die and Setting Toolset

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the heavy duty snap fastener die and setting tool set. This kit is going to allow you to fasten your snap fasteners to any of your materials, like your boat covers or tarps, clothes, curtains. Basically, anything that you need a snap fastener too, this is going to allow you to connect it. So you're going to get two tools here.You've got your die and your setting tool.

You are going to need like a hammer, or something like that to use this. Basically, if you're not familiar, you'll use this end here. Just put that over your fabric, wherever you want your hole to be. Give it a couple of taps with your hammer, that is going to create a hole. When you have your hole made, you'll take one of your snap fastener pieces like this, and put it there in the setting tool.Put your fabric around it so that this little piece is poking up through the hole that you just created.

And then put the other side of the snap fastener on top of it, so that the fabric is between those two metal pieces. Then you'll take your setting tool, put it over top of that upright piece, hit your hammer a few times. That is going to cause that metal to expand over top, so that those two pieces are held together.And then you'll have your snap button in place and it will be holding on to that fabric. It will work the same for the other side of the snap fastener. Just slightly different pieces there, but the same principles.

So, very important. If you're wanting to use those snap fasteners to have this little tool set, very easy to use. Just a few little practices, and you'll probably have the hang of it, to be able to do quite a few without any trouble.This product is made here in the USA.
