This is going to protect that cable from any kind of dust, debris, or water getting into your cable. So it keeps it free for whenever you actually want to connect it. And this is just a direct replacement for the cap to go over that.
This typically is going to come with your square cable plate, part number 37247795. And that's the part number that you can find it here at etrailer.com.So if something happened to that original cap and you need a new one, this is going to be that replacement part. So just the circle fits over that cable port or your jack, and then cap goes right over it. It's made out of a flexible, rubbery material. So should be flexible enough to go over everything and keep everything protected.
Measures about two inches long overall. And then our cap on the outside is just about a half inch in diameter. That's pretty much all there is to it for our dust cover. They fit snuggly and were easy to install. After 16 years, it was time to re-caulk those ports!
