Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen 00:00:02 here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a quick look at the mounting plate for your 12 volt sockets or USB outlets. So this is designed to finish up the look and give us a mounting place for those sockets, something that should look like this guy here.So this is going to be part number 37215105, the 12 volt socket. And you can see that there are flat spots on either side, so it's going to match up with our plate. Get those flat sides pushed in.

And then our socket comes with a little ring. So that only has threads at two spots where those two little wing tabs are, the little tabs coming off either side.If you line those up with that flat spot, you can push that down and then tighten it just a quarter turn or a half turn until it's nice and snug against our mounting plate like so.As you can see, it has a really nice finished look there. Also comes with the hardware to get that mounted to our wall, which matches with that surface as well. So pretty nice professional looking install once it's in place.It does come with that mounting hardware, again. This also works with the USB socket, and that part number is available here at etrailer.com, if you just search for 37215115.

That's going to be two USB ports to put in that socket. Works the exact same way, just pushes in, tightens down with that little ring. So you can get that mounted up and looking nice in your RV or your boat or just about anywhere that you'd want to have an extra socket for your accessories.As far as the size of our mounting plate, it is about one-and-a-quarter inch long, maybe just a hair over that, about five-sixteenths, two-and-five-sixteenth inches. Then lengthwise, it's right at two-and-three-quarter inches. Thickness is just shy of a quarter inch.

It's about three-sixteenths.
