Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the Furniture Switch. This is going to allow you to operate your recliner or a reclining sofa. Something that has that electrical switch. So, you can lean back, put your feet up and get comfy. This is not intended for any kind of slide-outs, like an actual room slide out for an RV, so just keep that in mind.

It's meant for just furniture only. But it's just going to be this nice little slim black switch. So, we can take a little look at it. It does have the arrows to kind of help you indicate which way it's intended to go. Have all our connections at the back.As far as size, to make sure it matches with your original switch that you're replacing, it's about three quarters of an inch for the cut-out, maybe slightly smaller than that, 11 sixteenths.

Going the other direction it's about one and a half inches. You want to make sure that you look out for the little tines on either side. These will hold the tension against that cutout. So, they are going to be a little bit wider than the actual switch, but that just helps to hold it in place. The actual outside is about seven eighths of an inch wide by about one and five eighths inch long.

And from the mounting surface to the top of that switch it's about three eighths of an inch deep.The power rating for this is 12 volts or 20 amps at 12 volts. It's made in the USA.
