Hey everybody. Jarrod here at etrailer.com. Today I want to take a quick look at the single pole double throw rocker switch by JR Products. Now the single pole double throw rocker switches are essentially two single pole single throw switches in one. Meaning the two circuits are tied together with a common. Now, if we consider the nomenclature we do have the actuator switch, and then we have the housing unit that all the wires are housed in.
And then we have the terminals. The actuator switch is your selection switch for the actuator positioning. And simply you are on and the middle is off and the bottom there is on again. In one of the position of the circuit is connected. And then you flipped to the other position that circuit will be disconnected and the new circuit will be connected.
The housing unit, what you said is the houses of wire that connects the actual waiter to the terminals. And it adds to that IP, IP 66 certification or pole. Meaning the product is dustproof or water resistant but it's definitely not waterproof itself. Now we do have the three terminals, in the center terminal here is the common. Is a bridge between the power supply and the load and the outside terminals are going to create connections when the actuators flipped to that side.
Now, if we consider the dimensions the cutout dimensions is slightly under seven and eight inches tall by approximately one and seven sixteenths inches wide. The swish dimensions themselves are nearly 15 16 inches tall by a half inch wide. Now this is U L C S A R O H S and I P P or I P 66 approved meaning that in the United States, Canada, and Europe, this product is safe to be use around your loved ones, including your pets. It is made in the USA a standard of quality you know and trust. And JR Products are a good brand known for fine products.

Still working fine after a year, no iss ues.
I am very pleased with this switch. I had purchased others from the big box websites that were cheap China made and would fall apart easily. This switch is well made and seems very durable. It fits tightly in the factory holes on my Tracker Off Road 800sx le utv.
I’m sure it's a good switch, seems to be well made, but it’s not the one I need. I just need ON/OFF not ON/OFF/ON and there are 4 wires connected to the existing dimmer I’m trying to remove. Maybe I didn’t explain myself very well earlier. Please advise and I will purchase again.

It sounds like you need the on off rocker switch part # 37213795 which is a single pole single throw designed for only 1 input and 1 output.
