Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the indicator light for a switch. This is going to be just a simple way to see if your item is powered on or off. This is going to give us a little red indicator light. There's no actual switch on this. It's just going to be an indicator so we can know if the power is on or not.

It has two poles at the back, should install pretty easily just with the tension clips on either side. It is rated for 14 volts, so that little illuminator light is going to turn on whenever the switch is in the on position for your item. Again, it will be a switch somewhere else. This is just the indicator light. You can see those two are the two tabs on either side to help hold that in place.As far as the cutout size, it's about 9/16 of an inch, so just over half inch.

And then we squeeze those tabs together about as tight as it'll go, it's about an inch and an eighth long. You want to make sure you have at least that much space to get this in place. It will expand out a little bit further than that. So if you have a hole that's not quite that small, it'll still fit up to about a half inch, but the smaller the hole, the tighter it's going to fit because the more tension that's going to be on there, the more snug it'll be. The overall length to the outside edge is just barely shy of three-quarter inches.

Total length about one and a quarter inch.Is made in USA. The outer housing is black. The indicator light will be red, and that's about all there is to it for our look at the indicator light for a switch.
