Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products: Triple Rocker Switch. This is going to give you the ability to control up to three lights or other applications that are powered by your battery. Each switch is an SPST switch capable of handling 16A at 125V to up to 250V of alternating current or three, fours horsepower to 125V to 250V alternating current. 10A at 14V or 3A at 125V.
To get this installed, it's going to be very easy. Your cover pops off and you're going to have these mounting holes that you can use a screw into your wall. The hardware does not come with this kit. You will have to provide that yourself. And on the back we've got our posts to connect our wires to.
So it's going to be very easy to get this hooked up. The cutout dimensions given by the manufacturer are an inch and five eights and sorry. one in five eights inch tall by three and five eights in twine. I'm going to disagree a little bit. I would say at the minimum, you're going to need about three and a half inches wide.See that little box there, three and a half inches wide by probably about an inch and a half tall.
There's the minimum that you would need. The maximum you could go up to would probably be. You don't want to go farther than your mounting points here. And those are from center to center, they look no doubt, two and three eights of an inch tall and two and three eights of an inch wide. So you want to make sure that you're still going to have enough room to put those screws in so that this will attach to the wall.
Your mounting plate will cover it and you won't be able to see those screws. So it'll work well for you. This is white. We also have a black option, if that fits your interior colors better. Our 2011 Montana came from the factory with the switches for the interior ceiling lights and exterior porch lights inside a small door. We didn't like having to open that every time we wanted to turn on/off the lights. So I bought these switches and placed them on a interior wall that was easily accessible when we walked in to the camper. We are very happy with the results.
