Today we're going to take a look at the InfiniteRule locks for the Gen-Y 10,000-pound and 16,000-pound adjustable ball mounts for 2" and 2 1/2" hitches for a quantity of two. Now these are a flush style locking pin that will replace the standard pins on your Gen-Y 10,000-pound or 16,000-pound adjustable ball mount. You can use one of these pins to secure the ball mount to your 2" or 2 1/2" trailer hitch and use the additional pin to secure the ball mount platform to the ball mount. These pins are interchangeable.They're a heavy-duty, rust-resistant stainless steel construction. On the inside they have a nice O-ring to protect and seal the internal components from dirt and grind, and here you can see they have a rubber weather resistant tethered dust cover that will keep the water and debris out of the keyway of the lock. These lock cores are keyed alike.

It comes with two keys. They are made in the USA. And just to show you how you would install these is you take your cover off, take your key, insert it in, and then you just twist it like you are unscrewing a bolt and that will remove the head from the pin and then you can see there is that O-ring we talked about that will seal the internal components, keep the dirt and grime out.Now when you go to install this, just run this through the holes, and then once it comes through in the other side just line the head up there, and then just go ahead and tighten the key like you would of the bolt again. Once it gets tight, then just back it off a little bit, you pull your key out, put your cap on, and it's locked into place, not going to go anywhere. Again, the application for these is the Gen-Y 10,000-pound and 16,000-pound adjustable ball mounts that will fit a 2" or 2 1/2" hitch.These do have a sheer strength of 42,000 pounds.

And basically the sheer strength is determined by they place a locking pin in a stress position and then subject it to increasing force until a required proof load is met or this pin fails. And again, these blocks have a sheer strength of 42,000 pounds. Pin diameter is 5/8 of an inch. A few dimensions on this, and it's the same on both of them, overall length is going to be right at 5 3/4" long, and the inside pin length or the span is 3 1/8".
