Extensive Testing
InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third-party testing to determine shear strength. The shear strength is determined by placing the locking pin in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load (maximum force received without deformity) is met or the pin fails. These locks have a shear strength of 42,000 lbs.
Installation
The 2 locking pins included with this set are interchangeable. Use one pin as a hitch lock to secure your Gen- Y 10K or 16K adjustable ball mount to your 2" or 2-1/2" hitch. The additional pin is used to secure your ball mount platform to the ball mount.

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna check out this locking hitch pin set from InfiniteRule. It's gonna work with our Gen Y Ball mounts our 10K and 16K. This is gonna replace the hitch pins in your Gen Y adjustable ball mount. So we'll slide right in just like the old ones did and you have a lock on this side. You wanna line up the square opening and the square point right there.
You see the O-rings right beyond that. That's gonna protect the inside from letting any water get in there. But once it sets in, you use the key and you just turn the key to tighten the lock to the pin. So as it's turning you'll see it's moving in and threading on there. It's gonna be made out of stainless steel.
It's even got a dust cap here at the end to keep dirt, dust and debris from getting into the lock itself which is gonna make it work a lot longer. We also get two keys with it. These are both keyed alike so we've all got the dual ball accessory locked to the assembly here. Then we have a lock up here at the hitch that's locking the whole ball mount to the hitch so that nobody can mess with any of this when you're not around. The nice thing about having these two keys is that the locks are keyed alike so you can keep one on your key ring, one in the truck.
You only need one key for both of these locks. Overall, I think it's definitely an upgrade to get the locking hitch pins from your Gen Y ball mount. You've already invested in it. You wanna make sure the accessory and the ball mount stay in the back of your truck, so when you need it, it's there. These are also way easier to mess with than some of the other pin and clips systems.

Keyed alike.Like these as they have flat straight keys rather than the barrel keys. These are also all stainless and easier to attach as they screw together. This gives you positive feedback that it is latched as you can't remove the key unless it is fully engaged. The threaded connection also keep the weather and dirt out. Excellent product.
Nice locking pins, heavy duty, worked great with the Gen-Y drop hitch.
Quality locks, I bought the two lock set now I wish I had gotten the three lock set. Pricey but worth the security.
