Today we're going to take a look at the Hydrastar 00:00:02 Extra Capacity Reservoir retro kit. Now this retro kit will install a larger brake fluid reservoir to your existing Hydrastar brake actuator to hold additional brake fluid. It will provide over one quart of total reservoir capacity and it basically just installs on top of the Hydrastar actuator. This is ideal for applications equipped with long brake line runs and multi-axle trailers requiring higher volumes in brake fluid. More fluid translates into better braking performance in larger volume applications and it improves fluid displacement also in larger volume applications. If you notice it is a translucent tank, so it does allow fluid checks at a quick glance and the translucent tank will also help you quickly identify brake system problems associated with brake fluid loss. This does meet all the DOT, Department of Transportation, regulations and it does include this molded plastic tank with the mounting bracket that attaches to your actuator and it does include the aluminum threaded connectors to attach the reservoir down here to the actuator and to attach the filler cap to the reservoir. But that should do it for the review on the Hydrastar Extra Capacity Reservoir retro kit.

This is certainly only above average for products now a days, nothing is quality made anymore. Not to sure it is going to hold up very well without serious over all protection from everything it is likely going to encounter in its life time and location. Though it is nice to have the added extra capacity.
