Video Transcript for Hopkins Accessories and Parts HM47635 Review

Today we're going to review part number HM47635. This is the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Control Connector for Nissan and Infinity Vehicles. This is a custom fit part number. It is designed to fit the Nissan Armada, Frontier, the Titan, the Pathfinder, the Xterra and the Infinity QX56, all starting in 2004. What I would recommend to do is go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application. This is a brake control connector which will help ease the installation of your electric brake controller. On the one end right here it as the custom connector.

This will plug into your built-in factory brake controller port, usually beneath the dash of your vehicle. The other end right here will plug into the back of Hopkins electric brake controller. This is designed to fit the Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller, part number HM47294. I happen to have one here to show you. It will also fit the Hopkins Inside Flex Mount Brake Controller part number HM47297.

Both of those we do sell separately on our website. This connector is designed for vehicles that are equipped with the trailer tow package. To show you how this would install, basically you'll see on the back of the brake controller it has the plug in that will plug in right here. Just line it up, push it right into place. It'll lock into place and hold it there. Then you'll take the custom end here, locate your built in factory brake controller port on your vehicle, plug that right into it, you'll be all ready to go with your brake controller.

Then if you need to remove your brake controller just lift up on the tab right there and it will just unplug right from the harness. That should do it for the review on part number HM47635. The Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Control Connector for the Nissan and Infinity Vehicles. .

We bought a new truck and I took my Hopkins break controller out of my old van to put in the truck. I ordered the harness and it was the simplest thing to install. As for dealing with Etrailers, we prefer to buy parts from them because they make sure we get the right items, have several videos on different installs and have always been great to work with. I don't think we would ever risk dealing with someone else, this company has a great track record with us. We have bought trailer tires, harnesses, our current hitch, several products all working great with no problems. When I couldn't install the hitch from the video I called them and they walked me through the installation. Great company. 179334

Installed on a 1 week old 2015 Nissan Frontier. Quick and easy! Adaptor cable plugged right in to the truck and the controller. I mounted the controller on the left side bulkhead (behind the kick panel), the display under the center console and the manual control/ adjustment unit to the left/under the steering column where it's easy to reach. 20 to 30 minute total installation time and I was out towing the new camper. 190428

  • Installing Agility Brake Control HM47635 on 2010 Nissan Pathfinder with a Factory Harness
  • From the Nissan description of the wire functions on the harness, it looks like you are on the right track as far as the description, but we will want to change a few of the connections that you mentioned. On Nissan models, the red with light blue tracer would be an illumination wire, and would actually not be used in your brake controller installation. You can just tie up this wire. You also have the electric brake and stop light wires switched. The red wire with a green tracer...

  • If you have the factory 7-way connector on your 2012 Infiniti QX56, the connector used for the brake controller will be located under the driver side of the dash. I have attached a photo that shows what the plug-in adapter on the harness that connects between the brake controller and the vehicle connector looks like. • From what I was able to learn, the connection point for the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter - Nissan, # HM47635, can be found underneath and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. We will start with the simplest things to check first and then try a couple of harder tests before deciding that the controller is bad and would need to be replaced.
