Video Transcript for Hands-On with the 2-Wire Trailer Adapter for Go Power Portable Solar Kits

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a real quick look at this Go Power adapter. This is going to allow you to connect your portable solar kit to your fifth wheel or camper. This is going to attach to the two-wire trailer connector, and then this end will connect to your solar panels Anderson style cable to charge your battery. This is compatible with all Go Power portable solar kits and accessories. You can see, they do include these dust caps here to kind of cover up those connectors.

So when we're not using them, we can prevent any dirt or debris building up there. And so nice little covers there, but a very simple adapter for those of you who are wanting to use your Go Power portable solar kits with your two-wire trailer connector. This overall length here is right about 13 1/2 inches. So it's not gonna give you a whole lot of room to maneuver, but most of your portable solar kits will give you some extra wire there. We also have a 30 foot extension cable for the Anderson to Anderson Go Power solar system.

So if you need a little bit more room, we've got plenty of that available for you. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Wrong part, didn't fit. 1-1/2" adapter for 1/2" connector. Working with etrailer customer service to resolve. Bought both parts from etrailer. The correct adapter should come with the solar panel or be listed as "commonly sold together". Both solar panel and adapter are Go Power products.

This connector is meant to be used with a solar panels Anderson-style connector or with an extension cable like part # 34270356.

Pigtail works fine, plugged right into both the even and go power panels.

  • How to Determine if the Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel Expansion is the Correct Option
The Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel Expansion # GP76FR was designed to expand DuraLite solar kits or to be used with the Go Power DuraCUBE Portable Power Station # GP82RR. If that is what you have, then this kit will work well. The Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel Expansion # GP76FR kit will need the 2-Wire Trailer Adapter for Go Power Portable Solar Kits # GP72VR to work with the Go Power RV SAE Port for Portable Solar Panels # GP49QR and Extension Cable for Go Power Portable...

  • How To Charge Towed Vehicles Battery With Tow Vehicles 7 Way Connector
The 2-Wire Trailer Adapter for Go Power Portable Solar Kits # GP72VR is specifically for Go Power solar panels so if you don't have one of those then I don't recommend using this. It sounds to me like you are wanting to use your vehicle's 7 way trailer connector to charge your towed vehicle's battery. If your 7 way already has a pin that has 12v when the vehicle is running then you can simply use that circuit (usually it is the 1 o'clock pin on 7 way). If you don't already have a 12v...

  • Parts Needed to Add Solar Panel to Pre-Wired Coachman Apex Nano Travel Trailer
If your Coachman Apex Nano just has wiring then you can use the Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller # GP66FR with nothing else as the solar controller will properly charge your system. If your Apex Nano has an onboard controller then you use just a solar panel like part # GP76FR along with an adapter like part # GP72VR to plug in directly to the port on your trailer. If you can give me some more insight into what you have on your trailer I'd be more than...

  • Can Redarc 200 Watt Solar Panel be Used With RV Pre-Wired With Go Power Solar
Yes, you can use the Redarc 200 watt solar panel with your RV that is pre-wired for solar, but you would not be able to use just the Solar Panel # RED86VR. Solar panels require a charge controller to regulate the battery charge so you would need to get the panel and the controller in one, with the following part number: - Redarc Portable Solar Panel with Solar Charge Controller - 200 Watt Solar Panel # RED75VR The # RED75VR will work with a pre-wired RV, but you will need an adapter for...

  • How to Connect Anderson-Style Solar Panel to SAE Connector on Trailer
Redarc designed the Portable Solar Panel - 200 Watt - Monocrystalline # RED86VR around their BCDC and Manager30 charging systems but since this doesn't have a solar charger pre-mounted to the panels it will work just fine with any solar charger. To connect this to the SAE connector on your Airstream you need the Adapter # GP72VR and then an Anderson extension like the 5' Long # RED27VR, 16' Long # RED99VR, or 32' Long # RED49VR cable. Happy camping!
