If your RV does not have a refrigerator vent or you need another entry option for your solar cables, the Go Power cable entry plate is a perfect solution. The plate makes it easier to connect your cables with pre-installed SC4 connectors and lets you choose a convenient entry point on your RV. Additionally, the covered housing helps protect your wiring while preventing leaks by covering and sealing the install area.
The SC4 connectors provide a quick way to attach the solar cables on the outside of your rig to your internal wiring. Inside the plate, the jam-nut is thread-locked to resist vibrations and protect the connections during travel. Additionally, the plate has channels on its underside that guide adhesive sealant during the mounting process to ensure a proper waterproof seal.
This cable entry plate comes pre-wired with 10' of SC4 cables for your internal RV connections. Typically, these will connect to your solar controller. Use 10 AWG to 6 AWG wire for additional internal wiring. The ideal location of the plate, as well as your solar panels and solar controller, is near the battery compartment. The total cable length should not exceed 25 feet. Using a drill, install the cable entry plate to your RV roof using 6 pan-head (#10 or #12, not included) screws.
Use a sealant that suits the material of your RV's exterior. If you have to attach the plate's cables to your internal wiring, you need compatible, heat shrinkable butt splices (10 AWG to 6 AWG wiring). Finally, as an additional safety measure, connect a 30-amp in-line fuse (not included) to the positive wire near the battery.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Go Power Solar Cable Entry Plate with the 10 foot long red and black SC four cables. Now if your RV does not have a vent or do you need another entry option for your solar cables, then this Go Power Cable Entry Plate is a perfect solution. This cable entry plate will help simplify the wiring process for your RV solar panels by creating a nice, strong simple connection anywhere on your RV. The plate itself will provide a nice protective covered housing to run your solar cables into your RV. And right up here, these SC four connectors, provide a quick connect setup for male and female external solar cables.
On the other end, you can see they have the pre-installed 10 foot long red and black SC four cables that'll splice to your internal wiring. The plate itself, this is a mountable plate, prevents leaks by covering and sealing your cable entry area so it reduces the amount of exposed cables. Now when you do install this plate it will require an appropriate sealant for the installation but that type of sealant will depend on your roof membrane material. So we do carry the different sealants, you just need to find out what your roof is material is and then choose the correct sealant for your application. Now this is a nice strong polycarbonate construction.
It is UV resistant and impact absorbent. A few specs on this, we're gonna measure the plate. So, if we go lengthwise, is right at about five and a quarter inches. Width wise, four and three eight inches. And when this is installed, the height of it from the bottom right up to the top here is gonna get you about one and a half inches tall.
The wire gauge they use on these cables is 10 gauge wire. And again, we mentioned the cable length is 10 foot and 10 foot, each. But that should do it for the review on the Go Power Solar Cable Entry Plate with the 10 foot long red and black SC four cables.

This makes integrating a solar charge system for the batteries a breeze. Universal connectors and 10ga wiring in a length sufficient for an enclosed trailer build.
Well designed product. Now offer it with different cable lengths
