Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our Gen-Y Advantage Combo Hitch for the Curt Q24 and A25 Fifth Wheel Heads with a two and five 16th inch goose ball. Now folks, this is rated at 25,000 pounds capacity. Now again, this works with both the Curt Q24 and A25 fifth wheel hitches. That's the head assembly you're gonna be taking off of those existing units if you have 'em.
Now, one thing to note, this is not compatible with the side winder or revolution kingpins, so you never want to use this with any device that's going to change the pivot point on your trailer's king pen. So just point that out from the start. Now folks, this will, again, mount that Curt fifth wheel head. And I'll go ahead and throw an image up on the screen here of what that would look like with that Curt, I believe it's the A25 head on there on this particular unit. But again, this does fit both the Q24 and the A25.
So that's what it would look like when it's installed. Now what's neat about this is you could also purchase the head separately if you don't already have one, and those part numbers are 16545, or 16580. Now the gooseneck ball is built into the hitch plate itself. Just slide the fifth wheel hitch back to access the gooseneck. So you pull these pins out here.
And you pull the other side out. And then you would simply just slide it back just like that, put your pins back in, put the safety clips back on, and then you'd be able to pull the gooseneck hitch just like that. So pretty impressive little gizmo here if you ask me. Again, simply pull 'em out. I'm gonna go ahead and slide it back forward here, just as if we we inchesre gonna be using the fifth wheel.
Now you're gonna have four pins and clips like I just showed you that hold these in place. Now this whole unit is compatible with your industry standard fifth wheel rail. So anything that's a above bed rail from B&W, Curt, Demco, Draw-Tite, Pro Sears or Reese, this will work great with. It is a heavy duty steel. It's all been black powder coated. You got your safety chain hooks right here in the front as far as where you would put in your safety chains. The gross towing weight is rated at 25,000 pounds. And again, it's a standard two and five 16th inch gooseneck ball. Now obviously, you would need your own pin and clips to secure this to that rail inside your truck. Once again, you most likely already have them if you're getting this and just using your existing head. Well folks, that will wrap it up. Just a quick look together today at this Gen-Y Advantage Combo Hitch. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for watching, and as always, stay safe while you're towing.
