Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Gen-Y hitch weight distribution shank. Now this shank is going to let you add a weight distribution system to your Gen-Y hitch adjustable ball mount with 2 1/2 inch stacked receivers. You're just going to slide this shank into one of those stacked receivers on your Gen-Y adjustable ball mount and then secure it with the included pin and clip. And the diameter of this pin is 3/4 of an inch.
And of course our hitch pin hole is the same size, 3/4 of an inch. And then you're gonna be able to attach your weight distribution head assembly to this shank. So this does have a maximum gross trailer weight of 32,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 3,500 pounds. We do have these five adjustment holes that you see right here that are gonna let you adjust your head assembly. These holes are spaced at 1 1/4 inches on center, and the adjustment hole diameter is also 3/4 of an inch.
And the width of our shank is, let me bring that more to the center there, right at 2 inches. So you're gonna obviously be able to remove and insert this shank into a higher or lower receiver to get that additional drop and rise, drop or rise if you're in need of it. This is made here in the USA of durable steel and this features Gen-Y's zinc primer with epoxy powder coat to help resist corrosion. Let me go ahead and give you some additional measurements just so you can be confident this is going to be exactly what you need. Looking at the overall height first, looks like we're sitting pretty close to 8 1/2 inches tall.
And then the overall length from end to end, about 7 3/4 inches long. And then if you we inchesre wondering about the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of our adjustment holes, lemme see if I can line that up there for you. So on center we're sitting right at 4 1/2 inches. And then another measurement that I like to give that might be helpful for you is the measurement from the center of our hitch pin hole to the end of our shank. So lining that up there, it looks like we're sitting right at about 2 1/4 inches.
Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
