Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, I'm gonna take a look at the dual sway control bracket for your Gen-Y adjustable ball mounts, that have the two and a half inch stacked receivers. Now, this is an adapter bracket, which will provide the attachment points right here on each end for your friction style, sway control units. Those sway control units we do sell separate on our website. And basically this adapter here will attach to the two ball mount insert that's used on the Gen-Y adjustable ball mounts that have the two and a half inch stack receivers. And once this is installed, this will allow for use of friction sway control without a weight distribution system.
Now, I did want to demonstrate what we're talking about. I pulled a Gen-Y ball mount. You can see right here. And this one happens to have the three stacked receivers. And again, they are two and a half inch size receiver.
And that's what this is designed to fit onto. So this adapter, basically what you can do is pop out the pin and clip. And then what you'll notice, this will install right through. You take your pin and slide it through there. Once you get it so it's slid through all the way, then what you'll do is go ahead and clip it into place.
And then just like that, it's holding it there. And then what you'll do is up front here is this bolt. You'll loosen the lock nut, and then go ahead and tighten this bolt down as tight as you can get it. I'm just doing it finger tight, but you'll take a wrench and tighten it down. And then tighten down the jam nut here, that'll hold it in place.
And what that does is it now gives you a point to where you can attach your sway control to the two mounting points. Allow you to attach a sway control on either side of the ball Mount, or you can use two sway controls at once. The part is a durable steel construction, has a nice zinc primer, then a nice epoxy powder coat on it to resist corrosion. The pin we use, it comes with, is a three quarter inch diameter pin, and then the clip is included. And the part is made in the USA. And this part has a 21,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. And a 2000 pound ton weight capacity. So you can see how it's attached to that. And again, it is designed to fit only the ball mounts that fit into the two and a half inch receiver openings. And again, just to remove it, what you'll do is we'll go ahead and loosen the jam nut. And then we'll go ahead and loosen the bolt. And then we'll go ahead and take our clip out, take our pin out, then slide our part right out. We're gonna clip that pin there, and then we'll move our ball mount out of the way. But that should do it for the review on this dual sway control bracket for your Gen-Y adjustable ball mount with the two and a half inch stacked receivers..

Super easy to install to the hitch, and the Curt bars work great with it to prevent my trailer from swaying. Love this setup vs. the regular weight distribution hitch.
