Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement two inch shank for the Gen-Y adjustable ball mount, has a 16,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this part here will replace just the shank from your Gen-Y adjustable ball mount with the stacked receivers. The pins and clips are not included. We do sell those separately. And if you notice on this shank, it has the six stacked receivers that'll let you mount a ball mount, a bike rack, or other hitch mount accessories to your vehicle.
The receiver size is two inches by two inches. Now the maximum drop this will give you, which would be in this position, is 12.5 inches. If you flip it over onto the others and put it in the maximum rise position, it'll get you a maximum rise of 12.5 inches. This is a heavy-duty steel construction, so it is ideal for towing extra large loads. Has a zinc primer and in a powder coat finish on it to resist corrosion.
Now when you do insert this into your two inch hitch receiver, you can see there's two hitch pin holes here. It does require a hitch pining clip, RA hitch lock for securing it. Those items we do sell separately on our website. The diameter on the hitch pin holes is 5/8 of an inch. Now this part is made in the USA.
Application, again, fits two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. Gross towing weight capacity 16,000 pounds, tongue weight capacity of 2000 pounds. Now the overall height from this, to the bottom to the very top is 15.5 inches. And the last couple measurements I wanna give you is the distance between the two hitch pin holes to the center of the adjustment holes. So if we put a ruler on it, if we go with the hitch pin hole that's closest to the adjustment holes, center to center is gonna be right at 6 1/4 inches.
And then there's an inch between the two holes. So the furthest hole to the center is gonna be right at 7 3/4 inches. But that should do it for a look at the replacement two inch shank for the Gen-Y adjustable ball mount.
