Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Replacement Two Ball Mount for the Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mounts with two inch receivers, has a 16,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this part here will replace the two ball mount that came with your Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount with two inch receivers. Basically, it'll insert into one of the stacked receivers and then secure it with the pin and clip that came with your Gen-Y mount. Now, I did wanna pull one of those mounts just to demonstrate what we're talking about, and this is one of those, happens to be a four stacked receiver 16K mount. And basically, you can see we take out the pin and clip, and then the two ball mount is designed to insert into one of the openings, depending on what height you need, it's adjustable for your height, and it does give you a choice of ball size, this two ball mount has a two inch diameter or a 2 5/16 diameter.
So again, if you're gonna insert it in, then you'll be for the 2 5/16 size, you just slide it in, line the hole up, put your pin through there, go ahead and clip it in place, and just like that you're ready to go, and again, you can put it what height you need for your application. If you need to switch it to the smaller two inch ball, just take out your pin and clip, remove it, rotate it 180 degrees, slide it right back in, line the hole up, put your pin all the way through there, and again, clip it in place, and now, you're ready to go with the smaller two inch ball. Now, this is a durable steel construction on the two ball mount. It does have a zinc primer they put on it and then they put an epoxy matte black powder coat finish on it to resist corrosion. This part is made in the USA, and this one being the larger 16K weight rating.
If you noticed, on the larger 2 5/16 ball, it has a little lip right here, and the reason they put that on there is that larger ball can be used to tow lunette rings, and when the lunette ring sits in there, this will help keep the lunette ring in place. Few specs on this, if you use the 2 5/16 ball, the capacity, the gross towing weight capacity will be 16,000 pounds, maximum tongue weight of 2,000 pounds. If you use the smaller two inch ball, the gross towing weight capacity is 12,000 pounds, maximum tongue weight is 1,500 pounds. And the last thing I wanna do is just give you the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the balls themselves. Center to center, you can see is right at five inches.
But that should do it for the review on the Replacement Two Ball Mount for the Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mounts with the two inch receivers and a 16,000 pound gross towing weight capacity..
I think this is the best hitch set up yet. Very versatile
