Great product. Very impressed with the packaging which ensured it arrived without a scratch. High quality fit and finish, you get what you pay for. One note that was not clearly shown in the product description is that there are tapped holes in each slot and comes with two bolts to tighten and keep your draw bar from rattling. This was a nice surprise. I am using it for a Blue Ox tow bar and have 2 vehicles I tow. Having multiple height positions was the biggest selling point for me.

I requested an alternate part number for one item yesterday and received my order today. Etrailer.com has been great anytime I order. Items are in stock and ship quickly. I have ordered from them several times, always great service and low prices.

  • Recommended Dual Ball Mount for Using a Bike Rack While Flat Towing a Vehicle
You are on the right track but you need to use the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers item # 325-GH-315 instead. This ball mount is rated to be used with a flat towing set up and a bike rack. The Gen-Y Phantom Hitch Ball Mount item # GY27VR can only be used with Gen-Y accessories. It's not built strong enough to support a flat towed vehicle and a bike rack. If you don't have any intention of using the ball mount to tow a trailer, then I recommend just getting the Replacement...

  • Best Anti-Rattle Device To Keep A Bike Rack Secure In A Gen-Y Hitch
Due to the somewhat odd shape of the Gen-Y Rebel Ball Mount # GY62FR, the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 will not be able to keep a bike rack from moving around once installed. However, I do need to mention that Gen-Y does not recommend using non-Gen-Y accessories in the Rebel. With that being said, the Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305 can be used with bike racks, cargo carriers, and other accessories that are not Gen-Y products. The design of this shank will also not...

  • How Can I Carry My Cargo Carrier And My Swagman Bike Carrier At The Same Time
To be able to haul your Saris bike rack and your rear cargo carrier at the same time The Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-304 will get the job done. This carrier has a 7-1/2 inch drop and has a tongue weight up to 1,500 pounds. I recommend checking your vehicle's manual to double check the proper tongue weight capacity for your 2011 Toyota 4Runner. Using these shanks will give you about 6 inches of room to stack on the carrier. If you need a bigger drop The Replacement...

  • How Much Does Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter Weigh
The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-10 weights 29 lbs. This is designed for flat towing so if you plan to carry a bike rack and cargo carrier at the same time your hitch capacity will be reduced by 50%. This will be the case for all adapters like the Roadmaster. For an option that will not reduce the capacity of your hitch by 50% I recommend the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305. This has the same weight of 29 lbs so it will not exceed your...

  • Bike Rack Compatibility with Motorhome While Flat Towing a 2015 Kia Soul
The Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S44FR will be about 33 inches from the hitch pin hole to the farthest point of the rack. You will need to measure your tow bar to see how much actual clearance that will give you for turning clearance. This rack does have a shank rise of 6-1/4 inches, so that will possibly help with hood clearance as well. I recommend using a shank like the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop/Rise...

  • Hitch Adapter Needed For A 2023 Subaru Outback Touring
Hey Greg, The style of hitch adapters you were looking at are either for flat towing use only or would reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50% so the best option to retain your capacity and still meet your rise and extension requirements would be to use a stacked receiver like the Gen-Y # 325-GH-305. I drew up a diagram showing the extension and spacing from receiver to receiver so you can get a better idea if this would work. If you could give me some more details on what...

  • Recommended Adapter for Carrying E-Bikes and Towing Trailer With Jeep Grand Cherokee
The reason you don't want to use the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 2" or 10" Drop/Rise # RM-077-10 for towing a trailer is because it was designed for flat towing a vehicle. This exerts force in different ways when compared to a trailer. However, there is a solution. I recommend using the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 10" Drop/Rise - 10K Item # 325-GH-305. This has a gross towing weight of 10,000 lbs and max tongue weight of 1,500 lbs which exceeds...

  • Does Gen-Y Make Weight Distribution Shank
I wouldn't recommend using the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305 with a weight distribution system. Since you'd be adding basically a hitch adapter to the setup you'd be cutting the capacity of the hitch in half. Gen-Y does have a cushioned weight distribution shank with the part # GY54FR which can do a rise or drop of 6-1/2 inch and fits a 2 inch hitch.

  • Dual Hitch Adapter for Bike Rack With E-Bikes on 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Towing 2024 Aliner Classic
I would say throw a hitch on the trailer and then add the bike rack but none of the racks with a high enough capacity are rated for a travel trailer. For a hitch adapter I recommend using the Gen-Y stacked receivers like the # 325-GH-305. Unlike normal adapters this will not cut your hitch capacity in half. It also gives you good options for rise to clear your trailer jack and propane. I'm not totally sure what clearance you need without trying it or taking measurements but I can help...

  • Towing Utility Trailer With Bike Rack While Needing More Rise From Ball Mount
I think we have a solution for you here, but the two parts you mentioned are using an adapter and adapter together. What you can do instead is which is use a Gen-Y ball mount shanks with stacked receivers. This gives you the ability use both a ball mount and bike rack, stacked at different heights so they don't interfere with each other. I'm not sure how much more rise you need, so here are a couple options: - 7-1/2" Drop/Rise: Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-304 - 10"...

  • Adjustable Ball Mount For a 50MM Hitch Ball That Fits a 2" Receiver
Since you are looking to have different positions in which you can adjust the hitch height you will want to use a Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305 to fit the 2" x 2"(51mm x 51mm) receiver. The mount has 5 receiver tubes that are spaced apart for up to a 10" (25.4cm) drop and is rated for up to 10,000lbs(4535kg). A Curt Ball Mount # C74WR will slide into the 5 receivers in either the 1"(2.54cm) rise or 2"(5.08cm) Drop position. The ball mount is rated for 8,000lbs(3629kg)....

  • Best Ways to Use Covered Cargo Carrier and Bike Rack at Back of RV
I have some options for you to check out but you don't want to use 2 hitch adapters because it not only causes more movement for your accessories but it also causes more torque to be placed on your hitch receiver so the weight of everything is increased exponentially and can cause something to fail. If you already have both the Yakima bike rack and cargo box then the best solution I have for you is the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305 which can be flipped...

  • How to Carry Bike Rack and Flat Tow Vehicle with 10 INch Riser Adapter
I do have a solution for you, however I do not recommend using the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-10 in conjunction with the High-Low Adapter # RM-048-10 that you already have. Using an adapter with another adapter like this will cause a really unstable connection and essentially reduce the weight capacity of your RV's hitch to an unknown number. • Can Gen-Y Phantom X Ball Mount Be Used For Carrying Bike Rack
As long as you do not exceed the tongue weight capacity of the # GY87VR it could handle your bike and bike rack. This has a tongue weight capacity of 700 lbs so it won't be a problem. However, if you think you might tow your popup camper and also carry the bike rack I would get the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-504 or # 325-GH-305 instead. These are incredibly sturdy with a high capacity that can handle just about anything.

  • Can Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter Be Used for Cargo Carrier While Flat Towing
Yes, the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-6 is designed with this exact type of situation in mind! If you don't already have a cargo carrier I recommend using the Flint Hill Goods # FHG27ZR as it has an aluminum construction which means it does a great job at resisting rust and corrosion plus it's also very lightweight (it only weighs in at 29 lbs).
