Hi there neighbors. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Furrion's miniature TV inlet. These come in either black, white, or gray. This weatherproof TV connection point can be mounted either on the side of your RV or inside your boat. Anywhere where there's going to be moisture present, this is going to be a great solution to give you a place to hook up without having any of that nasty corrosion buildup that you get on a typically exposed cable. It features a standard coaxial connection on each side, so you can hook up either your TV antenna, cable, or satellite dish. This is particularly useful for you travel birds out there that go from park to park as a lot of the camp sites do have cable provided on some of those, so you can just plug right into the campsite and you've now got access to all those channels. Now, if you use a roof mounted satellite dish or antenna, oftentimes when you are in forested areas, you may need to change the location of that to get a good reception.
With this system, you can easily store all that stuff inside your RV, pull it out when you're ready to use it and get that proper location to get the best signal. The outside coaxial connection point will hook up to either your antenna, satellite, or cable inlet. The other side of our connector will be found inside. We can then run our coaxial cable from the back of the cover up to our TV here. This way you don't ever have to miss the game or your favorite TV show while you're out on the road.
This will make a great replacement if you have a damaged unit. You can simply take your old one off, plug your coaxial cable into the new one, and then just mount it using the same screws you use to take your old one off.If you're adding one, you are going to have to provide your own hardware as the screws here do not come included with it, but you can pick those up at your local hardware store. If you're going to add it, you will need to drill a hole for your coaxial connection on the backside to poke through, and then you'll need to route your coaxial cable from the backside of the unit up to where your TV's hanging. The unit has a gasket that comes with it, that's behind it to keep it sealed to whatever surface you decide to mount it to. Our cover will hold itself open and hold itself closed. And that completes our look at Furrion's miniature TV inlet..

Link your TV to your satellite or cable feed with this mini TV inlet. Coaxial, F-type connectors let you attach cables from an antenna and from your TV. Marine-grade construction with weatherproof seal for a watertight connection. This was exactly what I was lookiong for. Little strange they didn't include mounting screws, but no big deal.
Other vendors are charging 2x to 4x the price for the same part. I bought this to replace a JR Products rv coax cable hook-up that had a rubber cap that disintegrated twice. I also considered the Winegard hinged hard plastic part but it’s coax connector is off-center. This Furrion coax cable hook-up box offers a simple to install solution that won’t disintegrate in the sun like the flexible connector cap types.
Very good except I thought I asked for it to be black. But it’s okay because I have a white place to mount it anyway!
I actually removed the coax connector to make an access hole. I mounted this on the outside of my RV to give me a port to put the wi-fi booster cable thru from the outside. When not in use the lid stays closed. Works great for what I needed
Four stars. I would give it 5 stars if the center coupler was 3 GHz for satellite use, but it wasn't, so I had to swap out the stock for a 3 GHz F81 F Female to Female Coupler F-Type Adapter Connector.
Looks to be sturdy and well made. Time will tell....
Mounting this cover was the easiest part of the job. Routing coax proved challenging.
Worked as advertised. Allowed better functioning of my SAT dish due to shorter coax run.
Happy with the size and cap.
Perfect! Exactly what I was wanting, and fast shipping!
It works!
