I was in a bind and etrailer.com came through for me BIG TIME and I really appreciate it. I had purchased a fancy set of Furrion cameras for my new RV but they wouldn't work without this adapter (I found out later). I had a trip planned and no working cameras. Furron didnt have the adapter but etrailer.com did. I called etrailer.com's customer service and they expedited the shipment for me at no charge and I received the adapter in time for my trip. etrailer's customer service rep was VERY helpful. Installation was simple and cameras now work great. Thanks to etrailer.com they resolved my frustrating experience I had installing my cameras. Outstanding people.

Still works flawlessly after a year. High quality product and I still appreciate etrailer.coms customer service for helping me in me out when I was in a bind.

This product did not allow my Furrion Vision S rear or side marker light cameras to work 100% with my 2021 Mercedes Sprinter. With this adapter, the cameras worked except when I pressed the brake pedal or used turn signals or emergency blinkers. Then the adapter made a weird clicking noise and the cameras blanked out. It is beyond frustrating that the official position of Furrion is that this is a problem with the 12V power from my vehicle. It is most definitely not, but is a design flaw in their cameras. I am en electrical engineer with 30 years product development experience, and determined the issue is that Furrion cameras are not designed to handle the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) brightness control for lighting that more and more late model vehicles are using. By selling a product that is meant to be powered by tapping off of these lighting circuits, Furrion really needs to update their cameras to be compatible with this. So to repeat, this is a design issue with Furrion cameras, not a "problem" with my vehicle, and please don't blame my vehicle for it! At any rate, I designed a simple circuit with a diode and electrolytic capacitor to fix the problem, I installed this circuit in line with the camera 12V power wiring at each camera position (rear and both sides), and the Furrion cameras work flawlessly now without this product, and they are solid even when braking or with blinkers or flashers on.

Thank you for your explanation and what you did differently for your 2021 Sprinter. As in the description on our web page, this will not work with 2021 model vehicles.

I have been researching backup cameras for about 6 months. Regardless of make or model, many reviews speak about poor connection between the camera and the monitor on wireless units. I had the same issue with the Haloview M5111. It seems that a lot of newer vehicles have a power management system as part of the 7 point connector which doesn't allow enough power to provide a good connection between the camera and monitor. This fixed the problem and I have had no connectivity issues since.

Some may find that this part solved their problem but it did not work with my 2019 GMC AT4 6.2L. This whole “Furrion’s don’t work on GMC trucks” is a major major frustration.

Comments
Thank you for your review. Furrion has told us they are working on a solution for the newer GM trucks. We will add this year to the list that may not work.

I have a 2021 silverado 3500HD and as soon as i plugged in the 7 way power adaptor, it just started buzzing. I spoke to Stacey and explain to her that its not working for me. Stacecy called Furion to see if they have experience that with tgeir products. Apparently GM changed the way the trucks are wired on 2021 and at the moment they don't have a solution. I also purchased this item because on the video says that it's made in the USA. The package clearly has a label that is made in CHINA.

Product did not work for me. As stated in the product description this will not work on a 2022 Chevy Silverado. Totally my fault. I did however find a fairly easy way to fix this issue for $10 using a waterproof relay. The wire that feeds the running lights became the ignition wire (86) to the relay, and the constant 12v power wire in the 7-pin became the feed/power wire on the relay (30). Cameras and turn signals connect to (87) on the relay. You could also jump these two wires together, but the running lights would always be on as long as trailer is connected to your tow vehicle. Using a relay as described above, your lights/camera would only be on when your headlights or parking lights are on.

Ordered an adapter from etrailer for my Furrion RV camera. Did not work on my 2019 Chev Silverado. Called etrailer customer service and explained the problem. They said they would contact Furrion for a solution. Two days later I had to call etrailer back because no one followed up with me. My second call to etrailer (Robert LNU) contacted Furrion and called me right back. Furrion's response (per Robert), their RV camera does not work with all 2019 vehicles. My grandchild's baby monitor would work better than Furrion"s camera. Can't believe they sell a $[XXX] product that does not work on "all 2019 vehicles" that may or may not require another $[XX] adaptor. WOW. Although Robert with etrailer followed through, very disappointed that I waited two days and the first guy at etrailer failed to do anything. Thanks Robert, but I will be returning the adapter to etrailer and this so called camera system to the dealer.

With the little information I have besides this being for a 2018 Ram 2500, I would recommend checking your ground wire to make sure the connection is solid. Also, check the power and trigger wire connected to the running light circuit.

I Have a 2021 GMC 3500 HD I received the adapter plugged it into the truck then plugged in my 5th wheel cord. the unit started buzzing and the Furrion cameras would not connect. etrailer is sending me another unit hopefully that will solve the problem. I have used etrailer for many, many Trailer parts. They have always been awesome !!! 6 stars !

This FR69SR adapter by Furrion is an earlier generation adapter FR74FR that Furrion is now selling. The problem is the FR74FR is backordered from Furrion with an expected delivery date of sometime this summer. I was delighted Etrailer has this adapter in stock and it's much more compact than the latest generation adapter that apparently doesn't exist anymore. I received it today and I'm confident it will work nicely to solve my truck's power management problem. Many thanks to Lindsay M in customer service for verifying this will work and updating my order. I've never been disappointed with etrailer.

The 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter part # FR69SR (Gen 2) and 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter Cable for Furrion RV Observation Camera part # FR74FR (Gen 1) are the same for all intents and purposes. They both were designed specifically for use with the Furrion Backup Camera Systems like part # FOS43TASF on newer Chevy vehicle's.
