Worked very well with the 1/4" metal loom clamp, item #A0250 to keep the power wire for the Tow Ready Trailer Wiring in place and away from moving parts

by:

This was recommended in another comment by an etrailer employee to use to attach part # BK70BB - Trailer Light Mounting Bracket to the curt cargo carrier. These screws were way too small for that usage. I ended up using some 1/4 inch self-drilling screws that I had and added these to my stash.

I agree with Rick, these screws DO NOT fit part BK70BB - Trailer Light Mounting Bracket

Products arrived quickly and were exactly what we ordered for rewiring our trailer as follows: 35 ft 4-way trailer wiring harness with 42" ground wire; metal loom clamps; wire loom and hex screws with wash heads. This company has a very good selection with good prices and economy shipping.

My brother and I purchased suspension parts, brake kits, wiring kit, led lights and other accessories for are car trailer. Great products, will by from etrailer again.

by:

These screws were recommended by etrailer and worked perfectly for mounting hose clamps on the underbody of our minivan!

by:

Ordered several towing and cargo products for a pending trip in 4 days! Great communication from the eTrailer team (George and Jamie) on delivery dates, etc. One product was not available in the warehouse, but eTrailer contacted the mfr and had them drop ship with express delivery to meet my timing needs. Really no effort on my part to get this great service -- just seems to be the way they operate. I keep ordering from them, and they keep exceeding expectations. Way to go! A+++

  • Best Way To Attach Trailer Plug Bracket To A Trailer Hitch Without A Pre Welded Bracket
As far as the mounting bracket, you can absolutely screw it directly to the hitch if you want. We do this frequently in our own installs and it will not compromise the strength of the hitch in any way. Now putting a few holes in the hitch does open up the potential for rust, since we are compromising the powder coating, but the risk is small. You could use the bracket # BK4F for a 4-flat or use the # C67UR for a 7 way, and a self tapping screw like # 101131802. If you do not want to drill...

  • Recommended Mounting Hardware For The Optronics Clearance Lights MC44AB1
For mounting a clearance light I recommend using a few self tapping screws. Preferably a # 10 or # 8 screw like the # 101131802. You will also want some butyl tape # QR59FR, to weatherproof the screw holes. Hardware for these is basically generic and it really comes down to what surface you are mounting to. Optronics does not sell a hardware kit specifically for the # MCL44AB1 or # MCL44RB1.

  • Availability of Self-Tapping Screws
We offer two sizes of self-tapping button- (or washer-) head screws. Part # FA1131822 has an unslotted hex head and is 1/4 -14 x 3/4-inch long threads. Part # 101131802 is # 8 x 1/2-inch long.

  • Will the 1/2 Inch Metal Loom Clamps Work On a 5/16 Inch Frame Rail
Yes, the Metal Loom Clamp part # A0500 will work on a trailer frame that is 5/16" thick. The Metal Loom Clamp will actually work on pretty much any frame thickness but you will need to make note of the size screw used. I recommend the Hex Screw part # 101131802 for a 5/16" thick frame as it is 1/2" long. The Wire Loom part # 459075 can then be added to protect your wiring. I have attached a list of our other wiring accessories for you below as well.

  • Dragon's Eye LED Clearance or Side Marker Light Colors and Mounting Hardware
Yes, the Dragon's Eye LED Clearance or Side Marker Light is available in Amber # DG52440VP as well as Red # DG52441VP. When we installed this on a trailer we used the #8 x 1/2" Hex Screw # 101131802 which is great for metal installations. If you'll be installing these on a different type of surface you'll need to use the appropriate screw type.

  • Does LED Trailer Fender Clearance Light Need a Ground Wire That Goes to Wiring Box?
You do not have to connect the ground wire of the LED Trailer Fender Clearance Light # MCL180ARB to your main ground that goes to the wiring box. What you can do is use a ring terminal such as # 44-5310A and screw like # 101131802 and ground it to your trailer frame close to where the light is.

  • Hardware Needed to Install Optronics Thin Line Fender Trailer Light
There isn't a specific hardware kit for the Optronics Thin Line Fender Trailer Lights # BA65ARRB for the right and # BA65ARLB for the left. I contacted Optronics and they told me a number 6 sized screw like part # 1172904 or a number 8 sized like part # 101131802 will fit.

  • Can 2 LED Domed Utility/Multipurpose Lights Light Up a 24 Foot Box Truck
The utility light # ILL24CB has 36 diodes so it will be on the bright side. Two of them will probably provide a decent amount of light but 3 would be better especially if light is essential. Attaching the lights to the ceiling using a high grade automotive type of double-sided tape would suffice. What I recommend is to use self-taping screws, like # 101131802, so you will not have to drill and then just seal the holes with a sealant like # 0160297. It would be best to attach screws to...

We have gotten back many reviews of these lights working just fine on Shoreland'r trailers. I will give you the dimensions of the lights so you can make sure they will fit your trailer. • How Do I Re-Wire My Pop-Up Trailer To A 4-Pole Trailer Connector? They
In order to wire your pop-up trailer with a 4-pole wiring harness like the 35 Ft 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness - Wishbone Style # A35W42B, you're going to first have to: 1. Connect the white ground wire to your trailer's frame. You'll want to make sure that the spot you choose for grounding is a clean, bare, surface that is free from rust. You'll use the already attached ring terminal, as well as a self-tapping screw # 101131802. Before you secure your ground wire, be sure to leave the...

  • Can a Trailer with Hydraulic Brakes Have Electric Brakes Installed
It's actually not too difficult to swap out your hydraulic brakes with electric brakes. The main thing will be that you will remove the hubs of your trailer so that you can unbolt the assemblies and then reinstall electric ones. Beyond that you would then wire the assemblies up to the brake output circuit on your trailer wiring. You will want to measure your assemblies like in the photo I attached so that you can pick out the correct replacement to fit your hub. You will need to run wiring...

Based on my research, the 2001 Toyota Tacoma did not come with a factory trailer connector. However, since you already have a 4-way connector installed on your truck, you will be able to start here for your brake controller installation. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller with a digital display. It will level automatically when mounted within a 360-degree vertical range. The brake controller installs in your Tacoma...

There are a couple of places you can access a dedicated brake light only circuit on your 2000 Chevy Silverado. I recommend to use the Curt trailer connector part # C57672 and the Power Wire Kit for Electric Trailer Brake Controllers part # BRK-ELECKIT because it has a shorter amount (10 feet) of 12 gauge wire since your battery is in rear cargo area. This kit also comes with all of the components...

  • Can You Use The Frame For a Ground When Using 4-Way Harness With Full Length Ground Wires?
You are correct. You can cut the ground wire and attach it at the front of the frame using a Ring Terminal # DW05737-1 and Self Drilling Screw # 101131802. Be sure to sand the frame to bare metal here and where you make your light connections to ground. Then you will want to spray paint over the top of the connections to reduce corrosion to the bare steel.
