Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 12 inch long Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank, offers a seven inch rise or a three inch drop. Now, this shank is made to fit the 400 pound tongue weight, 4,000 pound gross towing weight Equal-i-zer weight control hitches. This shank does offer a maximum of three inch drop in this position, if you flip it over, it'll give you a maximum seven inch rise. The adjustment between these adjustment holes here where your head attaches to is 1 1/4 inches. Now, this does measure 12 inches long, and it's measured from the very end to the other end, so 12 inches long, and it is designed to fit into a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver.

Now, to hold it in that hitch receiver, it does require a hitch pin and clip, which we do sell separately on our website, the diameter of that hitch pin hole is 5/8 an inch. Now, this is constructed of a nice, sturdy steel, has a hand dipped paint finish for corrosion resistance and long lasting performance. Now, when you do attach the hitch head, the Equal-i-zer hitch head will attach right to the shank here, it will require a 5/8 inch shank bolts to attach that hitch head to there.
